Cool. It is similar to the Razorine shown in this video, but I like your version better. The handle looks much easier to grip. I'd consider it to be a safety razor because it has a traditional DE head. Remove the safety bars; file forms 4, 17, 29, 38, & 118; and the Cartel might rule in favor of the razor being a shavette. Don't forget to include the filing fee of 10,000 rubles.

I have had a few thoughts on not using a razor for a year. I'm kind of nervous to put them in storage and not go back to them. I found one razor in my case that had started outgassing with celluloid rot and rusting. It makes me worry about not using all my razors. Also makes me realize that I have way too many razors around the house. There will be a pretty big purge at some point. (Not sure if it will be soon, but want to do it before Mrs. Gulch has to do when I am gone.) My other main thought is around my honing. For me, honing is normally a dialing in process that takes multiple shaves. With this plan, I won't be able to do that. I will be looking closely at the edges I create before using them, but there really isn't a solid test until you actually shave with it.

 

The Cartel rules that is a MAYhem razor, but could also quality a a modified shavette. There is a razor, the Swan, that I have in my collection that is the same basic design. Because you do swap out the DE blade it is a shavette. However, the blade is still guarded as a safety razor, so "modified shavette" seems more appropriate.

 

Did you forget about the last Cartel regional meeting at the Holiday Inn Express? I didn't think the restraining order would allow us back on the property. I'm trying to stay on good terms with the St. Louis Hampton Inn. Boris and Yuri damaged less than a dozen lamps, three mattresses, and two couches the last time we convened there. I'm really proud of the progress they're making.

 

We paid off the Holiday Inn Express. Well, we "traded" for them to drop the restraining order. Natalia looks pretty good in a skimpy French maid outfit, considering.

 

What an awesome list of dedicated den shrinkers. (Or at least attempting to) And an awesome job of tracking all of that. Impressive from both sides.

 

Neal........as always I am grateful that the Cartel had time to render a decision. Thanks for sharing a picture of the Swan....a very interesting razor.

 

Charlie...........you forgot to mention the swimming pool and hot tub. I may be new but word does get around. You would be surprised what Natalia told me.

 

I'm thinking of finding a Sociologist who would analyze our little group. In the past three pages I've seen shave reports, discussions on cooking risotto, misused hotel appliances, scary weightlifting strong Russian women, references to restraining orders, willful damage of private property - I mean - I want a profile by an "expert". Just reading it would be entertainment for a year. If he survived the experience.

 

As Czar, I try to keep the Cartel operating as a benevolent and kind dictatorship. While it may sometimes take extra time to render decisions we are pleased to offer the fastest service overall compared to the other Cartels out there. And, we currently have the lowest percentage of beheadings within the membership compared to them too. Our vodka consumption per member is also the leader. A particularly proud statistic.
