    No, bay rum is very different than bay leaf seasoning. The laurel plant used in cooking is not used in traditional bay rum. Bay rum is typically made from Rum and soaking the primenta racemosa plant in rum, sometimes with other spices.

    Glad you picked up the Pinaud Special Reserve. It's one of the powerhouse scents in their line. Does Mrs. brit approve?

    That's my favorite part of Omega boar brushes - breaking them in! There are procedures to hasten the softening of the bristles, but I regretted the time I did it. Lost all the scritchy scrubbiness.

    Same here Paul. I have plenty of soaps and AS for years, but not enough that pair well. It's getting better as I fill in the holes of my Den. Sort of an Anti-Rabbit Hole maneuver.

    I'm with you on that Charlie. SR give great shave, but I'm just not all up into the whole honing thing. Those that are report great satisfaction after investing the funds for multiple grade stones; natural and artificial, lapping film, diamond pastes, USB microscopes, etc.

    Of course we do, Danny. I'm thinking it would wash right down the tub/shower drain. Whipped cream sounds like a better idea than something I've wanted to try. It's difficult to find a lady into gallon jars of Mayo even if I spread out a plastic drop cloth. Did I type that out loud?

    From the looks of him he heard that "chicks dig scars" and decided he wanted a lot of chicks to dig him! Horrible image for someone trying to sell straight razors.

    Thanks Adam. I was thinking (always dangerous) that since a few of us on the the Den are from the South we need someone to work up a fews tubs of Kudzu shave soap.

    AKA West Indies bay. I get that it's a little hard to come by since hurricane Maria flattened the island of Dominica. But leaving it out altogether and still calling it bay rum is just wrong.
