  1. Thanks alot!
The razor made me a little unnerved to start out with. I'm not as worried I'm going to lop off an ear anymore. I just go as far as I feel comfortable, then stop and use my trusty DE.
See where I'm at in 30 days or so...:kar:

  4. Congratulations, Neal!

Excellent, Jason! Maximo Gomez is coming up soon for me. I’ll pair with the Jeeves and expect a terrific experience.
  5. Whoa Jim! That thing looks dangerous. You better send it to me before someone gets hurt! ;)

Congrats! It's a nice looking razor! I look forward to seeing it in your SOTD.

  7. Congrats Comrade. It's a fantastic addition to your den at Cartel Global HQ. In other words, it was cheaper for @Drygulch to let you keep the razor than hire a attorney...

  8. After a hectic day at the office, here is the catch all catch up post. Great shaves and pictures, gentlemen!

    @NCoxSTL, congrats on the razor!
  9. You are both of to great starts. The shaves will get closer and closer as you go.

A repeat of yesterday's shave with the same picture. Iade sure to snug the razor cap up, and this go round was nice and smooth. I hope everyone had a great day!
  11. Thank you, Jim! Nice shave again! Recycled pictures don’t bother me.
  12. Saturday shave

After being tortured by the USPS who held the razor hostage it finalized arrived in Seoul. It is my biggest razor at 9/8 and with a full smile. It is going to take a few shaves to get used to this razor's size and smile, I came up short on the closeness but I have feeling once I get the hang of it it will deliver some great shaves.

  14. Yowzers! That is one wicked looking blade, Keith. Congrats!
  15. The first day back always seems hectic! Hopefully they didn’t keep the crisises waiting ‘til you got there, Jim.
  16. Was it the CJB that got you?

  17. Perry, I emailed First Canadian last night (they responded in 3 min fwiw) as I had a few questions. They are now making splashes (Maximo Gomez is already sold out of this batch) and I wanted to know if the soap was the same base, same scent etc as the previous owners. It IS the same scent, but the base is now tallow and goats milk. They feel this is an improvement for face feel. Thought the old base was pretty darn good, personally. The splash is also alcohol free- not my preference, but who am I kidding, I love the scent and will probably order it when they restock.
  18. I don't think he liked the idea of Natalia showing up on his door with Mrs. Gulch home either. Not that I'd actually carry through with a threat....er......suggestion like that.
  19. You're smart to know when to stop and go DE to finish. Here's another tip you may have already been told. If you're ever in the middle of a straight razor shave and get that "things are going to go bad" feeling or it just doesn't feel right in your hand - STOP! Put down the straight and pick up a DE to finish. Those of us who have tried to shave through those moments usually have some bloody good stories to tell about it. And that's a literal description, not just a turn of a phrase.
  20. That's one wicked looking razor. What a beast!
