well, there's several ways....
go through the thread and count on your fingers
go through the thread and count on marbles
go through the thread and count with a calculator
.....etc....

OR
do it the way I did, and go under forums, under main category (for HYD it would be chatterbox), to the right where it shows the number of posts for the thread, click it, it shows who has posted in that thread, and how many times

 

and I think he's a Gremlican.
