The Proraso was an eye opener for a Monday morning. 2 passes with no drama and I'm so smooth i cant stop touching my face . The Rapira was a King in the Luxor Pro. I believe skin stretching can make your shave with a shavette.
I think I learned something with this morning's shave. The softer the soap appears before the shave, the less water I should use on the brush. Course the brush should be A LITTLE moist going in, but I overdid it, with the result being much more soap showing on my face after the 2nd pass than the first. But the other part of this is that the dryer(thirstier)it appears before the shave, the more the brush should be soaked. As my mom liked to say, "live and learn". I should add that I thought my soap this morning(Central Texas Soaps)looked a little on the dry side, but it certainly didn't take much swirling to give it the appearance of............well, let me say this before I confuse even MUHSELF here, Central Texas Soaps softens up pretty quickly, whereas others don't.
Central Texas Soaps-Grandpa's Barbershop(although I'm sure the other kinds of CTS allow for the same appearance).
Congrats Jim. Nice looking shave today. You must be feeling a little more confident with the IBC if you're using it on a Monday morning! You can get a little practice with it on your first pass, finish up with a DE, and still have a nice, close shave. Have a great Monday.
Thanks. 2 this month Charlie. Did a 30 day focus last year with it thanks to Chris@BamaSamurai. He sent me the Luxor and blades to get me started . So glad i signed up for that challenge.
