A little late checking in but we had a good evening. My wife has wanted to see Aquaman so we went and saw it tonight on the big screen. Reclining seats, great surround sound, really a great time. Enjoyed the movie too. It helped that we started the evening at a little place called Hendrick's BBQ. A few of you may have heard of that!

Since an Excelia didn't magically appear today I moved on from the pain sticks for the time being and went with the Luxor Pro Shavette. @Bama Samurai had left it here for me to try way too many months ago and I had put it in my shaving box and it got forgotten. But, it's out and about now. I used the Derby blade. This shavette features a blade holder that eliminates the corner on the blade which makes it a bit easier to wield without worrying about a corner dig or other problem from it. JR46 and Jeeves for the fine lather and two passes later I was nicely DFS with just a bit of extra touch up. It took me an extra couple of minutes to get comfortable with a shavette like this in my hand again but I settle in without any real problems. Angle was easy to find and once I had that it was a done deal. Nice shave. These things really do work quite well.

One more day off tomorrow! I had planned a trip to see a man about a few razors but he had to postpone. So, instead, we're having our current mattress picked up and hauled off in preparation of the new one arriving Wednesday. Looks like tomorrow night is air mattress or cots. We'll see which wins out. First shave with the Seygus Zeppelin.
The short sides of the blade do not protrude, which is very pleasant when changing the blade.
Today only the "mild" side of the razor used - particularly comfortable with a nice smooth result.

Tabac Tuesday's Shave

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Tabac Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #331 boar brush. I did two passes with the Ever-Ready 1912 razor with a CVS CS SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Tabac AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
