Thank you. I have a heavy travel schedule starting this Sunday. I’ll be gone more than home into April

I feel for you. My first job was an Auditor with Transamerica. I was on the road over 40 weeks a year.

I enjoyed a repeat of yesterday's shave this morning - two passes and some touch ups with the Parker SRX for a nice, close shave. I'll return to SC Love tomorrow, and I'll be curious to see how it works with the RV Chubby brush.

We spent the day running errands. My Bride gave me the face palm when I asked the person helping us at the bank drive-through for a sucker. What's the problem? I got a red one.

I hope you all had a fantastic day.

Most of my pictures are with the mechanics tool chest or on my Hinoki tub. Today’s will be on the Hinoki.

Andrew, I find a good service provides lots of comfort for the friends and family. Once again my condolences.

I also found improvements in my DE and SE shaves. I attribute it to be more focus on skin stretching and making wet slick lathers. You also learn to enjoy ‘blade feel’ and it doesn’t scare you anymore.

Glad to hear you are on the mend.

Thanks for the offer, Chris. I may first try blunting the blade corners while using my SRX as @RyX suggests.

    Wednesday Shave

This was included free with a brush I purchased, West Coast Shaving cream and its performance has impressed me. It is soft and overloaded it, but I like that. Once I got to my desired wetness it was slick and great for a straight razor shave. For the razor I am kicking it old school with a George Wostenholm near wedge 7/8 with some cool shoes.

    Irritation A+ Closeness A Smoothness A+ Sharpness A

Razor: George Wostenholm 7/8 near wedge
    Strop: Kanayama
Brush: Tom White B-400 silver tip
    Pre: Nivea
    Soap: WCS
    AS: Speick AS, L’Occitane ASB
    Scent: Dior Fahrenheit

Thanks Perry. It's an LE brush made by Rudy Vey and offered on another forum in 2014. I have #15, since my dad was born in 1915. This is my one and only Shavemac knot, and it's a keeper.

    Good Tuesday morning.
Feeling better, I decided to go into the dark side this morning.
    20190108_184718.jpg
This was a first time I did a full shave with my H. BOKER & CO straight razor. 4 full passes, not 3 but 4, and no blood, none. The shave was not the greatest, like a 2 pass with a DE, but it was a full shave. Now, I Only did a touch up near the ears and right below the lip with the Fatip because I stayed somewhat clear of those today but no full pass with the Fatip.
Into the dark I go with my little blade. I have a small irritation on my lower neck, nothing bad, gone in a few hours. This kinda reminds me of the type of issues I had with the safey razors when I first started.
Using a razor I cleaned and sharpend myself feels good, real good!

Now to get my technique right so I can try out another one of the razors I'm getting ready to use....someday.

100 shaves to be good, I've only got 99 more to go!

The gord got its 3 passes with the Fatip Retro, smooth, clean and nice.

    Emjoy!
    :)
