Today, I got out on a beautiful day to try something new in brush making. I cut two blanks on a 45 degree angle to the grain. I used mostly sanding and a dremel to shape the brushes. You will notice that on the bottom of the handles I have made flutes on a 45 degree angle, too. I made a video of the nearly finished products featuring the Omega 49 boar knot in 338 and the Maggard blonde synthetic knot in 339. My blog page. Left is 338 and right 339.
Those are some superb brushes. Happy New Year. I'm jealous I like that coffee mug. Have a great day. I like that brush you made for me awhile back.
I have a graphic that I used to have Walmart Photo make the cup for me. It was around $10. I can send you the graphic if you like.
I drilled out #338 and filled it with a 5/8 threaded rod. That really boosted the weight. I attempted to drill out #339, but I blew out the side. Bye-bye #339. I am making a new #339 now.
