SOTD January 9, 2019 Alphabetical journey through soaps and creams Letter F Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap Blade: vintage Personna Ultra Chrome Razor: Schick I1 injector Brush: Zenith B02 boar Soap: First Canadian Maximo Gomez Post: Witch hazel, Jeeves of Hudson Street Tobacco Bay Leaf aftershave No software that starts with D or E, so on to letter F. Wonderful lather from First Canadian Maximo Gomez. Thank you to @jtspartan for sending me a sample a while back. Easy to lather, slick, good post shave, etc. This soap has it all. The I1 was smooth and the results are excellent. Have a great day!
Welcome back, John! Nice shave. I am like you and just in wherever if I've been off the thread for a while. Great setup and picture, Jim!
January 9, 2019 OREN 2 Dot Plate Feather Professional Ever Ready C40 with APS Flat Top Oleo Shiloh Fine Italian Citrus Aftershave Hard to believe it is already Wednesday. Overall a great shave this morning. The hardware and software worked well together. Three passes and touch ups ended in a near perfect shave. I did manage to nick my lower left neck. I hope everyone has a great Wednesday.
Welcome back, John! As of late, if you don't check the thread for, I dunno....about 1/2 hour, you're already way behind. True, the Weishis aren't bad razors, and are fine shavers. They just feel kinda cheap.
Congratulations Jim! You're making steady progress with the shavette. Fantastic combo and photo today!
Thank you, Clint. I'm going to stick with the shavette until I can comfortably complete a shave. I enjoy the challenge but I don't enjoy the shaves. Unless my opinion changes, once I get somewhat proficient the IBC will likely go into the pouch that came with it and see rare use. Another stunner! Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Nice setup and report on the First Canadian soap, Perry. Maximo Gomez sounds like a winner, and how could it not be with a name like that? How is Alice's friend, Martha, doing? She's in my prayers this morning.
