OK shave is all for today. Haven't used the Pal for far to long and it showed. And the brush is to scratchy for me. My own fault, not the equipment. Anyway, all is well. Now go enjoy your day folks.

This new Elite brush is fantastic, from the great ergonomics to the supple yet firm knot. Despite the loft being a bit higher than I expected the performance was right on. It easily made and sustained the lather, distributing evenly for both passes with fantastic face feel. Of course the Amboyna burl is beautiful and unique.

Great brush and fragrance. Rive Gauche is such a sophisticated barbershop scent. I frequently get unsolicited compliments when I wear it. Well done.

Were I being paid I'd say I earned my keep this day. Beard got the Czechoslovakian Astra razor with Astra SS blade. A number of unexplained weepers if a pretty close shave. I'm guessing the blade isn't very well secured. Next up for my head was the Rotbart with the little known Dorco ST800. I managed to get through the shave but with minor injury and little comfort. Fortunately tomorrow is another day.[IMG]

I'm not sure about the organic Dominica Bay Rum... My face and neck started to feel a little burn and were a little red after the shave. I have sensitive skin at baseline, hence the reason why I started down this enjoyable rabbit hole, but don't normally have this problem with Wet Shaving. I usually stick to fairly basic software but I've been trying to branch out a little. I'll give it a couple more shaves and see what happens...

    Have a great day everyone.

    Ever-Ready #1 Boar Brush (restored)
    Vintage Klar Shave Soap

I think this is the fourth shave with this razor /blade combo and got a very smooth BBS shave in two passes with a bit of touch up.
