Today, I got out on a beautiful day to try something new in brush making. I cut two blanks on a 45 degree angle to the grain. I used mostly sanding and a dremel to shape the brushes. You will notice that on the bottom of the handles I have made flutes on a 45 degree angle, too. I made a video of the nearly finished products featuring the Omega 49 boar knot in 338 and the Maggard blonde synthetic knot in 339. My blog page.

I drilled out #338 and filled it with a 5/8 threaded rod. That really boosted the weight. I attempted to drill out #339, but I blew out the side. Bye-bye #339. I am making a new #339 now.
