    Whew! I have to confess that I'm relieved that the first shave went well. The last time I used one of the Super Gillette Blue Blades, it seemed to take a couple of shaves to hit its true potential. I look forward to the next few days, including the eventual shave with the matching razor.

    I have to admit that I wish one could find these blades in the US for $0.24/tuck. The best that I've been able to find is probably closer to that much per blade.

    It might be Monday, but this was my 6th 2 pass shave on the blade. The last one was good and it didn't show signs of wearing out or I would have changed it before the shave. I am not sure what they run these days, but I ended up buying 600 from the ebay a few years ago when the Ruble tanked and they were roughly $5.40 per hundred shipped.

    I had some Chinese-made Wilkinson Sword blades a while back that were surprisingly good as I recall.

    Thanks Andrew! Sinuses and everything in between are 100% clear! Once my nose hairs grow back, I'll start using the Clubman again! :happy102:

    I got a haircut yesterday, and I didn't think the stylist would appreciate the Clubman. She does have Clubman powder on her shelf, though she's never offered to fumigate me with it. I suppose she keeps it around for rodent control. I've never seen the first mouse in her shop, so it must be working. :happy097:

    Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap
    EDRIO #6 1937 Gillette Sheraton
    Perma-Sharp Super(5)
    Paladin Winston Harlequin (26mm, Frigate Class)
    Stirling One soap and AS
    Stirling Glacial Unscented PSB

    Sniffing the tub of Stirling One I was thinking that it was just going to be another sweetish type cologne scent as I was mainly picking up on the ambergris and tobacco and maybe a touch of the ginger and cardamom. Once loaded and lathered however the scent transformed. The bergamot and neroli made its presence known and a bit of cedar came out and Stirling one became brighter with a bit of tang while still having that sweet tobacco undertone and it was amazing. I even got a "Mmm, You smell good" comment from my wife! Three passes with the Sheraton not quite full cranked down tight left me BBS, I've been experiencing some dryness on my face in these coldest of winter months so I applied some Stirling Glacial Unscented PSB and let it absorb for a few minutes before applying a splash of the Stirling One AS. Have a great weekend my friends!

    Just having some fun, Paul. I took your advice and picked up some chia seeds. I've been having a tablespoon of them on my breakfast cereal. I've read some good things about their health benefits. They have no taste but add a nice crunch. I may eventually try some flax seed as you suggest also. Thanks for pointing me in this direction. Now we're both seedy characters. :)

    When I first ran the conversion on the currency I mistakenly took that as a "per blade" cost and was about to express shock at how expensive they were. Yeah, when correctly understood, I'd take 5 for a quarter any day of the week!
