Great shave, Andrew! TGIF!! Your comments make me want to get some Stirling One. I put Black Pepper Lime up for sale. Strange scent for me with the earthiness. I'm interested in Deep Blue Sea as well.

Anyway, the boys are looking good! They'll be draft picks in no time.

Thanks Perry! I think I would still rank DBS slightly higher then One, but both are great scents!

    PAA 11235~~Stirling Finest~~'56 Super-Speed~~Nacet~~4711
Full Left-Handed Shave today, even the right side of my face.
Got a slice on my left neck, getting a bit too comfortable.

PAA, my only tub of this brand, is a decent soap. Took on quite a bit of water, but never achieved
the shiny look, I am so accustomed to...
The scent is a dupe of 4711 and is pleasant enough. Not my favorite.

I am not surprised that this soap was discontinued.
The 1956 Super-Speed was loaded with the oft-used Nacet blade and was terrific.
3 passes for an excellent (aside from the mini-slice) shave.

If my head looked good shaves I would say challenge accepted, but I have far too many lumps and dents on my melon for that.

After a brief interruption of internet service, I'm back. I missed my 30DC fix last night! Around noon yesterday, my daughter had conversation with our ISP. The package I'd been fine with wasn't meeting the needs of three additional YouTube gobbling kids tablets and another cell phone. She made it to their office, turned in an inadequate modem/wifi router, upped our bandwidth and data cap, and brought home new hardware. Easy, right? Nope. No "plug & pray" satisfaction. No one answering the Help Line either. Everyone got tired of listening to the recorded message about how important our call was. So we switched to prerecorded programming and watched a couple movies before bed time. Fast forward to this morning - one call fixed it all. Their issue not updating to the new MAC address? I'm old school like back to dial up modems and WIN 95. Still using a WIN7 machine, though my Android phone updated this morning when the wifi came alive.
Before we had unplugged I'd been composing a ShaveFu post. Since I'm only 190 post behind some points may still be relevant.

Thanks Bruce! I've got Shulton Old Spice in the standard bottles plus a couple odd ones. This was my first time finding alternative OS scents in the wild. Still looking for the vintage lime, and I haven't yet sniffed Burley.

Thank you Andrew! I did enjoy the sheep tallow (?) lather texture. The scent is full strength as I prefer, too. Got this one on my shopping list but based on the quality of the lather I'd try other scents in the same formula.
Update - I inquired about the scent of BoS to Stirling. Uhh... wrong supplier. Rod answered quickly pointing me in the right direction. So I asked about the seasonality/availability of Port au Prince, and for any info about any new scents to be available in sheep tallow. News to share as it becomes available.
Thank you Clint! Hope your work week has settled in a more regular routine. Has the government shutdown affected IRS business?

Not me Joseph. I got my AS & Cologne at a substantially lower than ebay price. It's on the shelf to use and enjoy! I made it a point to use the AS sparingly, the cologne liberally. Working on equalizing the two bottles with further applications.
Yes, side by side. Both a vintage so the previous owner's storage procedures are unknown. The E L was in the original box and so full it might have never been used. The O S was already diminished, but plenty there to make it worth a buck per bottle.

Thanks Perry! The trend seems to be more alcohol or witch hazel, less scent oils. Just like everything that gets reformulated, it's never much improvement of the product. Just trying to increase profit margins for the maker. Exceptions happen but rarely.

One day when you run for Public Office, Adam, that decision will pay off. Another seat on The Supreme Court may open up soon.

Lefty, here. For those in the majority, the right handed, you don't know how much us Lefties adapt and overcome on a daily basis. Learning to shave right handed is less of a task since we've been doing it anyways. Can openers, scissors, car ignitions, I could go on.

TGIF!!! Thanks for sharing, Andrew. I share all the boys pics with Lisa, my wife. They put a smile on both our faces.
The soap and aftershave sound nice.

Thanks Andrew. You might consider DRH Arlington. They are very similar. (I prefer the DRH Cream over the PAA).

Wonderful colors in your photo, Joseph! Vibrant. Nice shave. I ended up with some of the 11235 soap from one of the big pass-arounds we did. I ended up PIFing it to @Tim Spencer to help with his blue shave collection. I never actually tried the soap.

    Day 8.

2 full passes with the Ralf Aust. I think I'm almost to the point where if I had to stop there, I could. Almost.
After this morning, I'm pretty sure that this tube of Brutal classic is down to its last shave. I'll have to kill it off in the next few days and take that small victory. :happy088:
