Hi folks, here is my last two SOTD photos. [IMG]

Good Morning. I took the first photo a couple of days ago, when I had an appointment I wanted to be spiffy for. The razor is one of those old Aristocrat Junior’s that were made in England, but sold in Canada in a red and clear styrene case. I have to say, those Aristocrat Junior razors with the flat bottom plate are fantastic shavers. It had been awhile since I used it last, and I had forgotten how efficient it was. I’m glad I took it off the shelf and gave it a whirl. The English did such a fine job on all the Aristocrat line razors that were produced there. Heck, every English Gillette I ever used not only performed admirably, but looked fantastic as well. Kudos to the British for their excellent work.

The second photo was taken today. It is my 1946 Gillette Milord. This razor is a pleasure to both look at, and to use. I have always thought these razors were a gold plated version of a Ranger Tech. This one in particular is an excellent example. I was surprised to see what great shape the razor itself was in. I had to restore the case, but with my limited abilities, I could only do so much. It is a lot of fun to bring these old razor sets back to life. I enjoy the clean up/restoration process as much as the actual use of the razors.
It has been a lot of fun being a part of the wet shaving community here. I have enjoyed my journey. Unfortunately, I have not much time to post anymore. But I will be around as much as I can.
    God Bless,
    Peace

Aqua Velva 5 in 1 AS

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The De Vergulde Hand Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #331 boar brush. I did two passes with the 1907 Gem Jr. lather catcher razor with an Original Gem Cutlery SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Aqua Velva 5 in 1 AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Started a beard the other day as the wife and I are heading to Scotland in late April. We visited Scotland 2 years ago and explored Glasgow, Edinburgh and the Borders by car. Also toured the Lake District in England. This year we're going to check out the Highlands and me being of Scottish extraction, it's only right that I project a wild and burly look. My wife is a born and bred Londoner so there may be some friction when I introduce her to the clan.;)

    Anyway, back to the shave...

Just trimming the neck and cheek areas every other day or so using Barbasol cream, Merkur 45 razor (infrequent blade changes) and Mennen Skin Bracer. As such, I won't be posting here but be assured I'll be checking your shaves and probably missing the fine morning routine!
