Day 10.

Another smooth 2 passes with the Ralf Aust, followed by the micromatic. I'm getting pretty comfortable with the two passes. Not in a big hurry to start on a third yet.

 

Congrats! You will complete a third pass soon. I can't wait until the beginning of Feb so that I can shave with my new Ralf Aust 6/8 Spanish point. I also have a used Ralf Aust and it is an awesome shaver. Aust's craftsmanship is impeccable!

Ain't scary.................it is just like a woman. You just have got to know how to handle her.I have been married for 32 years............scratch that last comment.

 

I was thinking about this little combination. I just like the grip of the Weber bulldog. The original handle just seems a little small for me. One small set screw and this combo looks like they were made for each other.

 

Monday Shave

Back to my focus on new or troublesome soaps. Today is was back to the Oleo which was a gift from my Secret Santa. This was at the top of my try list given and all the glowing reviews. It has been very hit and miss for me. Today I struggled again, at first I add to much water but then went back to treating like 'mug soap' and use a lot less lather. In the end, it was very slick but that is a lot of work and frustration. It is a shame because the scent brings back happy memories, when I go to Macau I stay at either Star World or Galaxy hotel. They are sister hotels and the lobbies have the same scent which is very similar to El Caballero.

Today's razor was a Rocnel SE-G and the blade was on its 3rd shave. I felt burning during the shave so not sure if it was a reacting to the soap or the blade. A few hours later very little irritation so I suspect that it was a reaction to the soap.
