Your Rule, your Rules. Easy to downgrade categories to a Focus where you compare and contrast variables. The exercise is most effective when limiting hardware variables as it puts the wins or losses directly on the User & Technique.
No bad fortune there! This is about improving end results. The TTT mantra - "Technique Trumps Tools" specifies and excludes for the occasion where unless the tools are defective. If you got an exceptional shave you learned something. Try repeating the same set up & techniques. We're all hoping you can identify the changes that helped, even if it was hardware related.

Thank you, Clint! My daughter didn't help on this one; I did it in the while waiting for the gym to open up this morning.

Thank you, Jim. The cut isn't bad, it stopped bleeding on it's own. I figured I'd quit while I was ahead. I'll give it another go tomorrow.

    10 down, 90 to go.

Two full passes with the straight again. This time, left hand got equal exposure. That's a first I think.

Early morning shave first thing this a.m. and then out of the house and no chance to post until now. My daughter came home sick, and I'm trying to work from home this afternoon while taking care of her.
This big SynBad is fast becoming my favourite and today's Jeeves product, the Apothecary, was whipped into a thick, slick lather. 3 passes left me very close to completely smooth. Not perfect, but more than acceptable.
First use of this Felce Aromatica splash. It smells just like the soap, so if you are a fan of that it is more of the same.
Some of you may recall that I used the SV Colonia products for the first time this weekend and felt slightly dry. That is not the case today. I wouldn't say this product is giving Chatillon Lux a run for its money by any means, but still a decent product with an amazing scent. I think I'll still Glycerin bomb it, fwiw.
    Have a great day all!

Old school, high quality, value shave. Used B&M Latha Taiga soap and AS, Stirling Boar Brush and a Slim. Lots of bang for the buck there. Ended up BBS and smelling like a Christmas Tree. As much as I like Taiga for a pine scent, I've become addicted to Ozark, which is taking over that "flavor" in my den. Accordingly, I may move the soap and AS set along at some point.
