It's hard to get a bad lather out of a RazoRock soap. Residual slickness and post shave feel aren't the greatest but it is a good newbie soap.

We might as well call this what it is...an SR focus for the foreseeable future.
    SR #3
Missed yesterday, so with 48 hours of growth I went at the beard again, this time with the Wade & Butcher.
    Per @Paul76 's advice, I lathered/stropped/re-lathered.

Created a thinner lather with the Eufros this morning. It went against my instincts, but what-the-heck!
I'll try anything to make this SR experience work.
I was disappointed with the hair removal after the first pass. (Right side/cheek/sideburn) Then I recalled
Paul's advice and on the left side, used a steeper angle. Better.

Finding the proper grip is still problematic. I wonder if I didn't sport a Van Dyke, would it be easier?
    Not sure...:signs002:
I also found myself re-lathering between sides of my face.
I actually stopped to give the razor a few
    laps on the strop.
It feels sharp, but there was some dragging and pulling, especially when I attempted an ATG pass.
Performed a total of about 2 1/2 passes.

    No cuts/nicks/irritation, so that's plus.
Could have left it at that, but
I was compelled to do a final ATG/buffing clean-up with the SS.
Eufros Tobacco ASB completed the experience.

That's right, hide it in full sight. Good strategy. :D I'll have to give that a try.;)

Good morning everyone! I have just finished shavette shave number 10. This was my 2nd time using the Personna hairshaper blade, but it is the 1st time shaving my face. I have to say this blade is very sharp! Normally, I do three passes with a regular DE half blade or with the Dovo long blade. I only needed 2 passes on a two day stubble and it was WTG and ATG. Also, as I was starting my first landing I nicked myself. I have never done that before and that is due to a combo of my overconfidence and the sharpness of this blade. Lol! I also had a small nick on my chin with no residual markings. Lol! Overall, this was a very good BBS shave. My final grade would be much higher, but getting nicked on landing the blade on face is a real lame mistake. Lol! Ok, It is 15 days and I am at the halfway mark with 10 Dovo shavette shaves using a regular DE, long Dovo and a Personna hairshaper blade.

Congrats for jumping back on the horse, and showing no fear, Chris! I can understand where many folks become set in their ways with hardware and software - and there's nothing wrong with that. After all, traditional shaving is something we all choose to do, for the sake of enjoyment. When something we have isn't enjoyable, what's the point in continuing to use it? Especially with all the choices we have...

Great photo and shave, Perry! That sounds like an interesting scent. Probably not one I'd pick up for myself out of her selection, but interesting nonetheless.

Thank you Mark. I have really f***ed up my left elbow. I should have went in months ago when the problem first appeared. Today's PT was very painful but at least we have a plan. 3 or 4 weeks of exercise and PT should show some improvement. If not the steroid injection in the elbow with a couple more weeks of PT. If that all fails, then it is surgery for me.
