What is the Damaskeen? I've heard the name, but haven't seen one....and no, I do not believe you sent a Harris sample. I'm sure it would've been first out.

I think I need to start shaving twice a day just so I can try more stuff....once a day really drags things out, especially if you're trying to give something several chances...

 

I came to the realization I am only sleeping 3 and 4 hours b/c of the personal stress. Need to get meds but no $$$ means no Dr. catch up on reading though

Matt, Bong, Shawn I am still waiting on my sample containers that I ordered. Once here I will be making my Connaught samplers and sending them your way. I should have the containers tomorrow but Colorado had a big snow storm and the interstate was shut down so could be Monday.

 

you can get free sample of CF if you email them with your snail mail addy, they will send you sample of all 3 creams, all the AS, all of their colognes, and the pre shave.

T&H will send you a sample of their ultimate comfort line of pre shave oil, shave cream and after shave.

The gentleman's refinery will also send out free samples.

Penhaligon's isn't worth the price, and Trumpers you have to buy samples from thier website.

I never got my free samples from CF when I emailed them.

T&H has, I believe, changed their sample giving to a pay system like the Trumpers one. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Penhaligons... forget it. Not even worth half of what they cost. Same with CF in my opinion.

 

Sorry those are all I have for sample containers, but the anherbs is really good stuff, John the pusher knows what he's doing with the free samples he sends out with his orders.

It's a Gem SE razor, ok next time I send you something I'll be sure to add some Harris soap samples.

Where did you get your containers from? I have been thinking of getting some to send samples out, and some 4oz tubs like Rodd uses for his cream

 

:ashamed001 I was actually talking about the Harris soap sample. It seemed you weren't keen on the Harris scent.

In all honesty, I'm not a big fan of either of those CF scents - Lavender or Lime. Well, I haven't tried their creams in those scents, but generally I'm not a fan of either of those scents.

Besides, you're already hooking me up. More than enough, really. I do appreciate the offer though.

Well folks if you did not get money out of Fuzzy for something yet.. you are out of luck for a month or so. I have spent all I had set aside. Unless I find a $20 Gem traveler I am not buying anything shaving related...

I emailed them and they even replied by email, but I have heard others say they never got a reply or samples either, I know colonial drugs are the ones that actually send the samples out for CF, I must have gotten lucky, I suppose one could email both CF and Colonial drugs.

Not sure about T&H I requested samples back in October, and that's what I got gratis.

 

Do you mean a Gem travel razor? like a 1912 Travel? or is The Traveler a name, like The Micromatic?

 

Actually, D.Irving Jr., how does a G-bar differ from a Micromatic? Doing a search for a "Gem Traveler Razor" I found a pic of a G-bar, and it looks like a Micromatic to my untrained eyes....

 

Fuzzy, my 2 week buying embargo lasted just barely a week and a half, and one week of that was when I was in Canada with limited internet access.

 

The Gbar was made in the 60's 70's a completly different animal. The traveler was a set I will go find a pic of a set. it is a lather catcher model in a fancy case with the blade slots.

In this thread there is a picture of a 1908 lather catcher with a case. I do not know if it says travel set of not but that is what I am talking about.

That traveler set sounds like something I'd really dig. I'm hoping to just happen across a lather catcher in an antique store some day...
