    Tuesday evening January 15

    Schick E4 / a blade
    Simpsons CH2 Chubby Synthetic Bristles
    Fendrihan Lavender Sandalwood soap sample
    B+M Reserve Fern splash sample

Two passes to a reasonably decent result. I think this blade is done.

Thank you Danny for taking time for this. Sometimes the newer users are best at describing sent and feel.
    Great report.

Take care of yourself, my friend. I pray that the PT addresses the underlying issue with your elbow.

Still plugging away with the Parker. Yesterday, my wife decided that she needed to discuss something during my shave (I honestly can’t remember what it was. It apparently didn’t involve food or nookie, because that I’d recall.) What I should’ve done was put the razor down and waited. Instead, I kept going, and trying to keep up my end of the conversation. Distraction = errors. Dumbness on my part. At least the styptic felt needed, and leapt at the chance to save the day.

    For today:

    Parker SRX
    Astra S/P
    The Weapon
    Grandma’s Purse
    The classic barbershop A/S

Today, no distractions, but still more blood than necessary.
The last few days the finished results are just about on par with a good DE shave. Now, I just need to work on watching my angle while using my offhand. Once I nail that, I’m golden. I think.

    Have a wonderful evening, fellas!

Thank you Terry. I think I will stick with the Karve and the WDC-8 brush for the remainder of the week.

    Thank you Charlie.

Excellent lineup John. Have you fully recovered from the fall?

I'm the king of putting off going to the doctor. I have made all kinds of excuses over the years. In fact, I'm just the opposite of my Bride who is much smarter and braver than me. She's a two-time cancer survivor. Early detection (and God's grace) in both cases were key in saving her life. I had my first physical in a long time this past summer. He got me started on a path toward better health, and I believe it will add quality years to my life. In order to volunteer with the kids, I had to catch up all my immunizations and get a yearly flu shot. On top of that, my Bride and I had to get a few more shots in order to travel internationally. If that's not enough, I had a health scare out of the blue this past fall that made a believer out of me. A follow up chest CT scan, a shingles vaccination, a colonoscopy, and another physical are in my 2019 plans.

If any of you are on the fence about seeing the doctor for anything, I'd encourage you as a friend to go anyway.

Excellent shave and photo Bruce. Glad there were no distractions or blood today.

Im definitely sticking with the same blades and razor for the 30 days, but I think I'm going to break the rules on soaps. I'm itching to try different ones.
Tomorrow will be my first Stirling shave. I typically shave every other day, or two or three since it was always a pain in the butt activity. But now that I'm actually enjoying it I'd like to shave daily. I think the neck irritation wouldn't be good shaving daily though. It appears my neck whiskers grow in a spiral like a crop circle. Have a good evening gents

Nice shave Joe, those Pesonnas are sharp, but if you stay humble they'll stay tame, mine used it's claws on me this morning just to keep me on task. ;)

Isn't traditional wet shaving fun Rob!
You will find that knowing how your wiskers grow is key to a great shave.
Stirling is one of my favorite soaps.
    Enjoy

While I appreciate the sentiment you guys are trying to express, I’ve looked at my scars more like “shaving mistakes by an idiot”. The look on my wife’s face after making them seems to confirm this.
