the ham and turkey mmmm good. I like my spinach fresh or sauteed in butter and garlic.Cottage cheese well let's just say it gives me flashbacks to elementary school food(pear halves on lettuce with cottage cheese and shredded cheddar on top-- feed that to prisoners and you would be accused of cruel and unusual punishment).Never been able to look at cottage cheese without a cringe since.
pork chops and diced potatoes simmered in tikka nasala sauce that has been spiced up,served over rice.
SWMBO requested spaghetti sauce.so I cooked about 3.5 gallons with beef ,mushrooms, crushed red pepper, lots of spice.Enough for the wife and myself to sup on and to take to work for a few days.
I'm being lazy today.I am defrosting a 2 qt container of chili for supper, may be cook a pack of hot dogs. For chili dogs or messy dogs.
A 2.5lb cross-Rib roast. I am thinking of a lower temp for longer, like 300F for 2 hours. Maybe 275 on a convection setting. Or, a searing followed by 350 Or 450 for 15 min and 350 for a bit Will depend on my mood. Green beans and garlic bread to go with. Maybe s pickle silce or two on the side and some horseradish for the beef.
Agreed. The green beans are because my wife likes them. I will try to smother them in garlic and butter.
Tonight we had chicken, marinated in buttermilk & then breaded. It was cooked in the air-fryer and served with a mix of basmati and wild rice.
picked up 2 pc fish dinners w/fries and coleslaw on the way home.Grouper for the wife and whiting for me.I really did not feel like cooking and this hit the spot.
@urrlord Sometimes called french dip I think. Basically a beef sandwich that you dip into beef broth. On the sandwich you can add what you like in the way of condiments such as horseradish, mayo, mustard etc... and also add stuff in like fried onions or cheese.
