I certainly hope that PT can help, and that you can avoid surgery.

A few years back, we went to see Van Halen (when DLR got back with them). Kool and the Gang was the opening band. They were better than VH. We didn't see that one coming.

    Razor: IBC/Blackland Vector
    Blade: Feather AC Professional/Schick P-30 AC (6)
    Brush: RR Bruce synth
    Pre-shave: Stirling Mentholated
    Soap: RR Mudder Focker
    PAA Star Jelly unscented
    AS: B&M Reserve Cool

Best shave yet with the shavette. I almost didn't use it. I woke up an hour before the alarm went off and couldn't get back to sleep but I wasn't ready to be awake. I thought I was too tired to use the focus needed. After lathering up I thought what the heck I have plenty of time I'll start with the IBC and ditch it if things don't feel right. Two passes with touch up left me with a damn fine shave. I did nick my chin during touch up but that was the only blood lost. The Vector joined in just to square up the sideburns.

The one and only letter R up for today. Razorock Mudder Focker did its job. Paired with Reserve Cool and I'm ready to start the day. Twelve hour shifts for the next couple of days, or couple of months, who knows but at least I'm on days for this go around.

Have a great day gentlemen! [IMG]

Thank you, Charlie. In a way, you helped enable me to get the SRX - at least you gave me the "push" to order one. I'm glad you did. The first handful of shaves with it served the purpose of showing that I can use one. Now that a little confidence is setting in, I'm finding that it's fun - and I can get close shaves with it. No major or permanent damage (so far). I just gotta keep focused and watch the angles, particularly when using my offhand.

Great looking shave Rick. Doesn’t seem like the blood slowed you down at all.

    Letter P

Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: vintage Personna twin
    Razor: eBarbershop Type O clone
    Brush: Artisan badger
    Soap: Palmolive shave stick
Post: Witch hazel, Country Club for Men Modern Fougere aftershave

My only letter P soap is the Palmolive shave stick. Effective and economical soap. Easy lather with rubbing the stick in and face lathering. Smooth results with the twin bladed Type O clone. Can't ask for much else. Easy shaves on an early workday are always welcome.

Moving on to letter R tomorrow with RazoRock. Have a great day!

Nope - I'm not going to get up earlier. I work second shift and get off work at 11:00PM. We get awake at either 6:00 or 6:30 AM (depending if my wife works at the dentist office that day). It was completely my fault for not sitting the razor down. :angry032:

Nice report! Andrew sent me a couple of those blades as well, but I hadn't gotten around to trying them yet.

The "Cryotech" sounds like it might be a fancy term for "ice tempered" though there are companies that have cooled blades to -300 degrees using liquid Nitrogen (see http://www.newworldencyclopedia.org/entry/Cryogenics). The theory is that it should make for a harder and sharper blade. Oster, for instance, sells clipper blades which go through a similar process.

Still working through soaps to thin down the collection wherever possible. A surprise decision today (sort of). I Coloniali Mango is a holy grail soap for many. I, personally, have never been impressed with it. I was fortunate enough to get a new puck of it and put it in one of those fancy IKEA metal tins, where it has sat unmolested for several months. Today I got a great shave with it, but continue to be annoyed with the type of lather it produces. I know, I know; This film slick leather is the holy Grail for many people, just not for me. I may give it one more run using a straight razor, which supposedly is where it really excels, but more than likely it will be on a BST soon.

    Stirling R4L Soap and Aftershave

A very unrestful night last night. The PT and dry needling yesterday left my elbow feeling worse than before the appointment. I know it is part of the process and I am committed to seeing it through. At least the morning shave was relaxing. The Stirling R4L is a really sophisticated scent with its blend of citrus and vetiver. Three passes and touch ups ended with a BBS shave. A splash of the matching aftershave and I am off to fight the morning commute. I hope everyone has a great Wednesday.
