Great setup you got there, Mark! That brush is sweeeet. The razor with the Triad is quite spiffy too. I hope you can get some pain relief soon!

Thank you Jason and Bruce. At lease the pain was not to bad during the day and I didn't do anything to make it worse. Getting old is not what it's cracked up to be.

I think a little of Kentucky's finest bourbon will help me sleep better tonight. ;)

I hope the recovery is quicker than expected for you and Maya.

Clint I wish you and Maya quick recoveries but it sounds like you both need some time. I spend 9 months tried to find a solution to some hip pain. After multiple doctors, x-rays and a MRI the theory is tendon calcification. I tried many different things PT, Pilates , injections, and nothing resolved the pain. Finally my physical trainer at the gym through, trigger point, stretching a

    I see Declan enjoys yoga.

Joseph sounds like your edges need some work. I advise send them out for honning, maybe a pasted strop will fix them and then maybe not. If you Rolls the edges then they need to be honed. @Rkep01 has some great advice, when I go ATG I am about 3 spine widths from my face but it varies by razor. Start just 1 or 2 spine widths and then slow increase the angle to find the sweet spot.

I use 6-8 strokes on FeO3 pasted strop, 20 on linen and then 5o to 60 on leather. Remember the blade lies flat with the spine and edge in contact with the strop and no pressure. You should be able tell by the sound. When my edges need a little more help I use CrOx or Dove Red-black paste and if more then 10-20 passes on a finishing hone. I like m edges very sharp and I test them by passing them mid hieght on my arm or leg hair. I try to avoid obvious honing mange.

Good evening everyone! I just completed shave #11 with my Dovo shavette. I only had 1 1/2 day stubble
I only needed a 2 pass shave. I am rating it an in betweener. It was closer to DFS than a BBS because I decided not to super clean my neck. Otherwise an uneventful shave except I did a fool's pass and slightly nicked my nostril. I just want to continue doing this pass so that my upper lip is smooth. I almost have it down. Result 93 = A-

    17th focus shave

I enjoyed a great shave with my focus set up before meeting a friend for a trip to the Barton 1792 Distillery in Bardstown, Ky. He and I were the only early morning visitors, so we received a personalized tour. We both enjoy learning about the history and manufacturing processes of the old Kentucky distilleries. Our tour guide was fantastic! We had lunch at the Bottle & Bond Kitchen and Bar at the Bardstown Bourbon Company. The barbecue brisket was a nice finish to a fun day before heading home.

I hope you all had a great day!

When I got the Mudder Focker out and gave it a sniff Reserve Cool is the first thing that came to mind. The scent is very similar to my nose.
