Looks like maybe a 22mm??? I'm not 100% sure. jimjo1031 on this forum is the one who changed out the knot for me. He might remember.

This bowl lathers faster than any bowl or scuttle I've used. The grooves make for super-fast explosive from the soap.

:thanks: Tim. I have a few of those bowls and I agree with you that they produce a great lather.

Very much. I suppose there is a little clove in there, but it is mixed in well with the other features. Y'know, if Clubman can be called "The quintessential barbershop aftershave" then I think Stephan can be called "the quintessential barbershop/bay rum aftershave, meaning it's a nice "alternative" to Clubman at barbershops, amnd has been for generations. Course Bay Rums are synonymous with barbershops in general. I don't sense much of a scent to it, but it's nice. It's main strength, I have felt, is in it's "skin food"(not my quote, I first saw it here at TSD). From the bottle: "It makes a beneficial facial astringent that helps protect the skin from the drying effects of the elements". I was quite shocked, pleasantly so, that the company from where I ordered it-Williamsport Barber Supply-sent me a small magazine of their products&specials...wonder if I'll always be getting that, as a customer. That's where I'll be ordering it from in the future. Finally, being the history buff I am, I'm very impressed that "the first dig from the Stephan shovel into the ground"(that was MY quote :), was in 1897.

    Frank Shaving Boar Brush
    Williams Shave Soap
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Aqua Velva Musk After Shave

First time using this razor, and also the shortest handle of my Schick/Eversharp razors. And it produced a nice shave, as you would expect with other Hydro-Magic type razors and was easy to control. Two passes with a little touch up for a very smooth and comfortable BBS shave.

I have the same razor/case. I don't know if you know, but it's actually a Milord Tech (1940).

Last shave with the RFB before it goes back to it’s rightful owner. Decided to close it out with a shave that fits this razor. Olympus and Creed to take it to the house. Great evening and shaves to all... :happy088:
