Staying on this horse for the long-run.
Slow stropping, kept the spine down, pivoted on the spine.

    To the shave.
MWF is infused with Captain Black Pipe Tobacco. Yummy scent.
Typical MWF lather, very slick, not as thick as some but in no way is it inferior.
The Wade & Butcher isn't as easy for me to wield. The scales are much longer and sort of interfere.
Some ATG, not great, but nowhere near what it needs to be.
    No cuts/irritation.
Still completing my shaves with the Gillette Super-Speed/Polsilver SI.
HTGAM Cavendish post-shave products finished the experience nicely.

Bloom some for me, but let it go to seed so that we can plant soap for next year's harvest.

Nice, Jim! I respect your decision to put away the IBC. No reason to use it if it’s not enjoyable. I really like the Starcraft blue brush! Goes great with the Vision colors.

    Nice photo and shave, Joseph!

    Day 16.

Three passes today. I'm still working out the approach, so it was nowhere near as effective as it could be. But there it is! The left hand sat out most of the third pass, but got equal time for the first two.

And this time the tube of Brutal classic is done. One down for this year. It's an excellent cream, by the way. I recommend it if you get a chance. I absolutely would replace it if I didn't have thirty something other tubes to get through.

I could be content with just my Tabac shave stick: compact, affordable, great scent (to my nose), quick and easy to apply, and it makes a terrific lather.

Please post a photo of your grandfather's SR when you can. I'd enjoy seeing it. :)

Rob, I sometimes do this, but I don't see a noticeable benefit. If you're gonna splash water on your face prior to the shave - and you should - soapy water should provide more lubrication and skin prep than fresh water. It also seems less wasteful than pouring it down the drain.

Cool. Much respect here for your craft. I've had 1 drafting class but wish I'd taken more. It takes practice and concentration, but it is a fantastic skill for anyone to have.

My brother has it . I will snap a pic next time i visit him. Looked like the blade was chipped and it probably got wet as theres alot of rust on the blade now . He probably will never get it back in action but just keep it for sentimental reasons. I may look for a blade for it and give it to him so he can restore it and use it again.
I got his son started on DE and wet shaving and thinking about giving them my Jillette TTO and prewar tech razors since after their latest campaign I'm pretty much done using anything with their name attached. I'm quirky like that.

Adam, congrats on nearing the finish line on your home addition. Your shave den looks absolutely fantastic. You have some great storage space, and Schrodinger's Razor is nice finishing touch. Well done!
