Tough call. On a personal note i don't buy anything including antiques in my house unless i intend to use them.

Probably, I already have a good looking diplomat. I don’t really have anything in a collectors grade condition in my collection. I use everything I buy. I don’t keep things just to look at. I may just flip it but I’m may keep and use it though

I’ve tried blue blades and they are rough.

I would leave the knot. But prep it to use. I have a culmak that was nos that I use. It took awhile to bring that bristles back from being petrified and it works ok. Lots of soaking and use of conditioner

Perhaps worth noting even when new the (pre-war) blades may not have been so great. The two consumer research journals of the day did not recommend them.

2 bath soaps from SummerBreaks Soaps (both History101). ,,I'm planning on doing a Soap&A.S. purchase sometime this year, of the same brand, thus I figure the bath soaps will be a good "introduction" to it. I just put in the order now.

If you don't need the "15 Super" dispenser, let me know. I know of a Fatboy case that could make it it's home.
