Keeping up with this thread has become akin to having a second job...

Interesting. I continue to learn new things from this group.

I enjoy whipping up a good lather in the dry dock, and enjoy the feel of further lathering on the face with different brushes. Misuse or not, I dig it.

Looks like you are living like a rock star, Adam! Also, congrats on claiming more shaving space. Manifest destiny was a bad practice, but as long as you don’t, cheat, steal or kill any Indians in the process, it seems lik a perfect plan for the bathroom!

Inspired by the uber cool @Drygulch shaving den, here's a photo of mine. :) I'll have a sink and vanity to myself with under sink storage. Hopefully, I'll teach my neighbors how to shave since I can almost reach out the window and touch their house. I'll also have a medicine cabinet in another bathroom, and a small wall cubby at the bottom of our basement steps for my doodads. The dry wall is complete, and the trim carpenters are currently doing their thing. It's starting to look like a house. We're hope to move sometime in April or May.

For the record - I offered a waiver that would allow him to take the razor out and keep the NB intact. I believe it was more his desire to avoid "the look" from Mrs. Gulch that kept the razor on the wall. I can't argue with that decision, however. "The look" scares the daylights out of me too!:scared003:

So....what you're saying is that a NB isn't necessarily a NB? Provided that a deal can be struck with the Cartel, which may or may not involve cookies (or some sort of bribe), breaking a NB can be overlooked? Interesting how these backroom deals are made....:happy097:

Wonderful photo and setup, Jim! Sorry to hear that the IBC isn't your bag. Maybe you'll get the desire to take a run at it again down the road.

Thanks Bruce. We're relieved and not in a hurry, actually. Most of the decision-making is finished, and we're just watching it come together. We've been blessed with a reputable/fine builder and contractors. We're thankful for this, and we don't take it for granted. The weather so far has been cooperating as well.

I'm curious about using Barbasol now that my technique is solid. I may pick up a can and try it just for kicks.

A very lazy Saturday. The MW was easy to lather with a fantastic fresh vetiver scent. Three passes and touch ups ended in a BBS. I hope everyone has a great Saturday.

This was a rather complex and one of a kind situation. It involved a NB, a very unique and uniquely packaged razor, the question of ownership of a Toggle and the cost required for same, and finally - the wild card - Mrs. Gulch. Even the Cartel is smart enough to know when to bend the rules.

Mid-afternoon shave and dinner theater tonight with my Bride. It's doesn't get any better. Winter is arriving big time tonight - wind gusts and possible snow and sleet accumulation of 2 to 4 inches.

Have a great weekend, gents, and stay warm!
