I'm a boar fan. I usually don't mess with anything but the big Omega knot but found this small boar knot laying around the shop and stuck it in a junker handle. It's a great little face lathering brush, soft with good backbone.

Shavemac bulb. A fantastic knot. Resting in a Steve Woodhead (UK) shave mug. Steve does quality pottery.

I’m still searching for a nice sized boar. Any recommendations?

If you don't want to mess with anything a couple come to mind. Zenith 26x57mm, ABC brush but is a little spendy for a boar and look for the Omega Proraso boar or any configuration of the Omega big knot. I would say the shorter the better but the green jade handle is too short, IMO. I know I'll take some heat for that remark, no doubt, but you don't have to go that short to get a great brush. When I say a brush is too short it's almost an oxymoron. I like the big knot best but Omega has a nice 24mm boar also but model # escapes me at the moment. If I were to pick a Semogue I'd take the 1800 and wish I had an Omega, lol.

    Brush: Declaration Unicorn B5

What an amazing shave! The Declaration brush really does meet up to its hype. The brush performed phenomenally well. Extra soft tips, incredible density and backbone make this one of the top contenders in the current brush market. It’s a wonderful piece that should have been in my den a long time ago.
