Whew! John, you made my head spin with that Corporate Mission Statement style. Polysyllables FTW!

Nice handle Danny. Did you home make it? How's the weight & balance?
Jason - think breakfast, lunch, or supper the way your grandmother made it. Huge portions of high carb home cooking. It's not fancy, but quite satisfying. Outside they have old fashioned rocking chairs you can take for a test ride, then purchase and haul home. The entrance way / lobby is 1/4 of the floor space selling faux country/antique style doodads. I've visited 3 or 4 over the years in several states. They all look the same including the actual old rusty barn find type junk nailed to the walls of the dining room.

did a quickie 1 pass touch up this morning before work, no pic. used the service tech and pacific shaving caffeinated shaving cream. spearmint scented and thick n slick .awesome stuff. blows you away when something like a beat up tech and cheap cream give you a fantastic result..face feel is really good..top tier be damned..well today..

to be honest that service tech has given me some of the best shaves to date..base plate has no plating left, different cap as the original was dented. i have spares. maybe finally getting these flat bottoms dialed ie angle etc..its like a little lawn mower, that or because i am shaving daily..focus is working good..thank you all..gary

@mrchick must have a tripod and a camera with a timer. Otherwise, I don't know how he took that selfie.

Brian, I recommend a PIF of the Tight Buns soap. It ain't workin'. ;)

Oh, I love Cracker Barrel. I live very close to one, but I can't bring a family of five there too often. These help, though:

Gents, thanks for the kind words. The Parker SRX focus has been fun, and the shaves continue to improve. It will be a 32-shave focus, as that will finish up a couple of open blade tucks. At that point, I'll move into a Feather AC SS focus.

We had a blast with the kids today. They are such a blessing to us. We got free parking and a free lunch too. ;)

Thanks also for the brush comments. @Jayaruh did a fantastic job on the brush handle, and this is one of my favorites. I sent him a few end pieces of Northern White Ash collected from the lathes at the Louisville Slugger Museum, and I've seen quite a few Slugger brush handles in use. I bet he has a few left. :)

Jason, let me know if you'd like a few end pieces. At the time, the folks at the museum said I could have all I wanted. Of course, I'd have to check back to see if the offer is still open.

Check out this inspiring story. It's about a young man in Alberta, BC that was paralyzed in an accident and came back strong. This quote really struck me...
"I could have been a multi-millionaire, and that wouldn't have helped me as much as having skill of a machinist."

It must need to be reapplied often like Retin-A and Rogaine. ;)

As for me, I was never a plumber, but I'm great with a jackhammer.

A rusty razor off the Black Pearl pirateship would be better than a 5 blade Jillette cartridge shave . Its not always about fancy with me .

I have a G2 handle made from some of those Louisville scraps

@Hembree, Nice shave! Don't hold it against me but I am a Yankee and can't honor Lee. I am also not looking to start Civil War #2. I am a NY Mets fan and would never root for the NY Yankees; similar to the Lee situation.

I used to bloom. Now, I face or bowl lather. It is so much easier.

I like to hear good reports from you, Terry. Glad your shave went well. It was in the single digits in NY this morning. It was so cold that my driver's side door wouldn't open until I yanked it a few times.

    Hi everyone!
    It is cold in NY!
Just finished my 14th Dovo shavette shave ( number 39) This is the 7th shave with the same Personna Hairshaper blade. My set up has been the same from Jan 1.
    Dovo Shavette
    Preshave-Noxema Cleansing Cream
    VDH Luxury soap
    Semogue OC Super Badger
    Modessa Witchhazel
    Clubman Pinaud AS

Did 2 passes WTG and ATG with minor touch-up. No nicks, no weepers and no irritation was the result of this BBS shave. Truthfully, I think it was because the blade is not sharp. It still gave me a nice smooth BBS shave. The next shave will probably be my last one with this blade. So my final grade is a solid A = 95.
