I think you have enough on the linen, Joseph. According to Lynn Abrams, you should need no more than 8 strokes on the CrOx. It's only a touch up for the blade when the leather won't quite get it done.

They call 1907 the "Signature",. but I believe that honor should go to 1911(I'm sure Heartwood came much later). Maybe they gave it to 1907 as that one came before 1911.

I love the history aspect, too. Hope you can succeed on the shipping.

I think the 4th sample was the Bay Rum. My best guess anyway.

An easy two-passer on just over two days of growth for a super smooth result. I'm feeling confident (but not foolishly overconfident) of my ability with this shavette, and the shaves are becoming closer, more comfortable, and more enjoyable. It was cold and rainy here today. We completed some tasks on the new home today, and I plan to meet a buddy this evening for an outing.

I hope you all are having a fantastic day!

Very nice shave and informative post, Joseph! There's nothing worse that getting distracted during an otherwise enjoyable shave. We've all been there. I am following your straight razor journey with great interest. I'm in awe of the gents that have mastered straight razor blade edge maintenance. It's quite a skill to possess, and I'm sure you'll get there. :yoda

I hear you, but that also assumes the razor has a good edge to start with. That's why I stated I am working my way backwards through the stones.
    Next up, the 12k.
