I thought it was a good shave until some time passed and my neck turned red and blotchy. Not sure if it was my doing or time for new blade. That was number 5 shave on an Astra.
Also first shave with coniferous scented soap. Stirling products smell exactly how they're supposed to. I love them. Have a good day gents [IMG][IMG]

Looks like classic razor burn on your neck. Angle and pressure are key terms. Light pressure and maintain the shallow angle. Don’t overshave. One or two passes and let it go. Glad you enjoy Stirling! It’s amazing soap.

I'm looking at some purchase ideas from the Williamsport Barber Supplies, catalogue in the near future. I chose a nice barber hair brush and a Master aftershave. More details when I officially make the purchase.

Two passes for a nice shave where everything worked well together. The infamous doughnut hole appeared in the Soap Commander container. Cartel apparatus and parade crews have been placed on standby.

    Have a terrific Thursday!

Nice setup with the Stirling soap, As a blade starts to lose it edge we have a tendency to apply more pressure to compensate. As you work though your first month of shaving with a DE it is a good practice to ditch the blade after two or three shaves.

Great shave and awesome photo, Charlie! Congrats on making a serious dent in the SC Love! I just ordered a 10098 as a knot donor, is the knot you have in this brush well broken in yet ?

Great shave Charlie. Hard watching that last bit of soap taunting you but be persistent and show it whos boss.

I second that. I always did 2 and ditched the blade when i started out. Blades are cheap, irritation is irritating.

Looks like razor burn likely caused by too much pressure or incorrect angle.

I would suggest changing the blade after 3 shaves. That will remove a possible problem. You can go more shaves once you’ve mastered the technique.
