37C was the slant I sent Dom. I sent one of those to Shep as well.

Camera could be a no go. I think the wife loaned it to her brother. Maybe my old digital camera will fire up and I can take it along.

No shave for me today. I shave everyday except Saturday. Gotta let the face rest a little.

Thanks Rodd. I doubt I will see one but if I find a wood one is that ok or should I stay away from wood.

plug the charger in now so the camera will be ready.

I didn't shave yesterday, too busy making 2 gallons of chili.
Should be good today, even better tomorrow.

Maybe I'll use the slant today.

Wood is good. I am comfortable working with wood, one thing to note is that 50 year old paint colors are very hard to match, so if it is painted, make sure the paint is in good shape.
I also really like the Bakelite handles (plastic looking) but if it is flaking at all, sanding doesn't seem to work, strange layering effect... So I suppose that the material doesn't matter too much, as long as it is in good condition. If you don't find one, I have one that will be showing up in the den store before long.

    Just 2 gallons, Bong?

I have the charger plugged in but I can't remember if this is the camera that won't hold a charge. Oh well, only one way to find out.

Thanks for the info. I really want an older brush that I can use and pass down. Something about using 40-50 year old stuff that is attractive to me.

Bong, I was going to put together a SoTD for you but I couldn't find a list of your goodies. You need to get on that. ;)

It was a first time I didn't want to make too much in case it didn't turn out well. :D

Hehehe, um that might take awhile.

I picked up two brushes yesterday - a NOS Ever Ready for $12 (too much?) and that wooden handled one in my Cool Finds thread, it came with the mug...

I'm not sure what the Ever Ready is, it doesn't say anything about the type of hair...I'm going to assume boar...

Howdy fellas. I am sitting over my dads waiting to hear from them. Hopefully my crazy wife will call soon and let me know how he is doing. I think he has a blood-clot somewhere, but I am a crane operator, not a doctor. If that is what it is, I think they can do an angioplasty and remove most of them. He would want me to keep his buddies on here updated. So, I will do just that.

Off topic here-- I have got to get one of these laptops. My PC at home is nice, but this thing is just as big and it's mobile too. I will most likely get one when my checks start coming in. Did dad tell you guys that I finally got signed with a publisher? After trying to do it myself I realized that would be a waste of time. My wife started sending out copies to every publishing house she could, and it paid off (two years later). Production will not start for a little while, but when it does hopefully I can make some money. More importantly, it will be cool to see people reading the stories that I wrote.

This place sure has gotten big since I joined. It looks like there are alot of guys from B&B here now. That is cool.

I don't know. Dads house is so crazy. He has every room set up different. It is very nice, just odd. You walk through it and feel like you are going from one world into another with each room. Creepy!!

Time to look through the rest of the site. This is the first time I have been on here for some time. Might find some good info.

Again, I will keep you guys posted.

Hey man, thanks for keeping us informed. Your dad is well liked around these parts.

Congrats on the publisher. I'm going out on a limb here and assume you're doing a book? What's it about? Fiction, non-fiction?

    Thanks again.

    Hi Jason,

Thanks for posting and keeping us updated, it's good that you all vetoed him and made him go have those tests done. I think all of us were/are pretty worried.

Your dad did mention you were getting your book published he was pretty proud of you. Congratulations, that's pretty big.
What kind of book is it? Collection of shorts?

I wrote a bunch of stuff for a few years. Mostly short stories. I did not have much else to do other than hit the weight pile and exercise my brain. When I finally came home, I decided to compile some of my favorite stories into a book. Most of them are fiction. Some are written in poem form, where I use different meters to make the story very enjoyable to listen to. Some are just pages of thought. It is a good enough work to warrant a publisher wanting to market it. The subject matter is for adults only, and some is disturbing even for many adults.

Anyway, there was something I wanted to ask you guys, and I totally forget what it was now. Oh well, I will think of it later.

    Superblue,

You should have heard my daughter!! She gave him a hard row to hoe. I thought it was pretty comical, and it did the trick. Right after she handed the phone back to me, dad agreed to get checked out. The old man is a sucker for his grandkids.

I do better with short stories. I have a short attention span.

Take your time, it will come to you, and we will still be here. :rofl

What is the deal with my dads title line under his name? I have not seen that one before.
