Haven't used a boar brush. I hear the Omega Boars are among the best, though.

All right. Slant experience time. I was really tired last night when I went to shave with it, but I needed to shave for today. I only did a one pass shave - Slant with a Feather and the Connaught cream. For only a one pass shave, I got a pretty close cut. One small weeper, but only because my hand slipped as a result of me being slightly careless and overtired. The slant definitely wowed me. I might have a new go to DE instead of the HD. Thanks again, Tracy.

As for the cream - it's pretty good stuff. I liked the scent of the sweet orange. Reminded me of those ice cream pops with the vanilla ice cream and an icy orange shell. The shave was very good. Exceptionally good, to be honest. I can see why you said it was better than TOBS. I don't think I completely agree, but I'll shave with it again to get a better feel for what it is. It's definitely up there with TOBS. The fact that it has different scents - like lemon, rosewood, and the orange will prove to be a draw for me.

I think it happened sometime back in this very thread. He was saying something about Brad Pit while JoAnna was around.

As for his more recent one... TSD's Pain In The Ass... one day, him and I were wondering about how long it would take to multiquote every post in this thread. He proceeded to attempt a super long multiquote and broke the thread by exceeding what the software viewed as possible.

It's a kick having him around.

Dom, sounds like the slant worked pretty well for you.
I find I can get a great shaves while saving a pass or 2 with the slant.

I'm eager to try the Paul's cream, Tracy is sending me some to try out.
There was a tub of the lemon and rosewood on sale at smf for 20 dollars shipped, but I didn't buy it, maybe I should have ?

 

I think I'll be able to save a pass or two with the slant myself.

I tried out most of those Gillette blades you sent. My favorites by far are the black packs. Tried the Yellows and the Green Permasharps. Not too happy with them. I might try to acquire a pack of the blacks for further testing. Don't like 'em as much as the Feathers, though I haven't tried the Blacks in the slant yet.

 

Oh boy. Rolls is gonna come after us. Or mail us half eaten tuna sandwiches as payback.

 

I tried the blacks for the first time yesterday, no irritation at all, but not the closest shave every, needs more testing.

Anything that comes from Rolls in the mail will be Retuned to sender from now on!. :sick007

Wife just called. They are keeping dad overnight. More tests to come, but the one doctor said it is most likely just some blockage going on. If that is all it is, he will get a the balloon done and be home for supper on Monday. Lets hope for the best!!
