Congrats on your first kami shave, Neal. It's a looker! Reduction and no blood spilt = success. I look forward to seeing how it performs once Lynn fine tunes the edge.

Yes. After 100 straight shaves, I was amazed that I now achieve as close a shave after 2 passes as I used to get with 3. I don’t have an R41 but have now cranked up all my adjustables to wide open and they feel smooth as silk now. Not sure what happens in your brain, but the change in the DE shave quality has been stunning.

Wish i had those that time i quit smoking. Went from a 32 to 46" waist. I now smoke again and am 33" .

Nice pic Brian. I'm a Proraso fan.

Great shaves Chris. I can sympathize with you about the sinus issues.

No worries. Good to see to stopping by . Hard to keep up to this chatty bunch.

Thats a beaut Neal. Cant wait till you get it dialed in and see those reports.

    Add me to that list.

Wonderful shave Jim. We should come up with a system to keep track of blade use, as i lose track most times too.

    Thank you, Patrick!
I'm usually pretty good about keeping track of blade use. I use the shave buddy app. I entered the Supply as three different razors based on the different baseplates. Somehow swapping baseplates around I lost track of blade and number of uses. Not that any of this really matters, if the blade is doing its job I'll keep it in.

I've never been a smoker, Patrick. I already have too many other bad habits, and I'm glad I didn't pick this one up. It must be a real challenge to quit smoking, and I applaud you for making the effort.

I'll never see a 33" waist. I was at 42" this summer and am now on my way to 36". I'm down almost 56 lbs as of today...shooting for 70 lbs and trying to learn some new habits along the way. I'll be happy if I can maintain there. My calves are chunky...so no skinny jeans are in the forecast. I think they look goofy on guys anyway. Happily embracing the old guy look, boot cut and relaxed fit are my style.

Great looking shave Neal! It’s nice to have someone as knowledgeable as Lynn so close to be able to help you with your kamasori’s edge.

Broke out the Karve CB with the "E" Plate today. Asylum SV Colonia, scent spot on, creamy slick lather via the Duke 3. Three passes and little clean up left me smooth and refreshed. Finishing with the matching scents of Italian Citrus and ADP Colonia Essenza. Aces gentlemen!

I quit when my oldest daughter was a baby then 5 1/2 years later the stress from divorce got to me and i started again.
When i was at my largest, i was short of breath, couldn't bend to tie my workboots or fit in places to weld . Was a hard struggle . I know smoking is not good but i believe i would have worsened my health from overeating and feeling so bad about my weight.
You're doing an amazing job getting your weight down. Takes a heck of alot of self control and i applaud you Charlie.

I know the feeling. My big thing as always been the brushes. I tend to buy and sell razors frequently so that the total number stays close to the same. Aftershaves have been an issue for me as of late. I have bought three new ones over the last 2 weeks.

Once you get used to the ambidextrous thing, you realize that the long blade of a straight works better at different angles in different hands. For me, what hand I used for what angle kind of evolved with trial and error.

56 pounds is astounding, Charlie! I’m stuck at 25, as my metabolism adapted and dug in to fight the reduction in calories. I’m going to have to step up my exercise program to kick it back into gear. Not excited about that.

I hear you Jim. I just like seeing how far i can stretch a blade to make myself believe I'm saving money since joining this group.

There are support groups for those disorders, unfortunately you're in the wrong place. I started out with 1 brush, razor and soap. I've lost count what i have now . Should rename this thread 30 day enablers club for men.

Patrick, I started smoking in the Army at 17 and smoked until 2016. I had half heartedly tried quitting several times. I came home one day and put the lighter and pack down and told my wife I was quitting. She rolled her eyes knowing from past experiences how this would end. However, I have not touched the things since. I won't say it has been easy because there are days I would burn one as big as you, Great job loosing the weight.

Hi Randy, my question was specifically referencing Neal's Kamisori razor.
