Do you have a "D" plate Mark? Can you compare the plates you do have?

Many of the brushes I buy I've seen in Mark or Clint's posts. Sometimes we get together and special order a brush. They are good Amigos.

    Amen Aaron!
It is helpful to have a sharp blade too.

    Thanks, Jason.
I used a tuxedo knot for the first time yesterday and it has more backbone than my other synthetic brushes but not quite as much as the mew brown Yaqi, IMHO. They all do their job and do it nicely.

    Fantastic Rob!
I tried using a dull blade this morning, no burning, but not much shaving either.

Continuing my shavette focus this weekend, I enjoyed two nice and error-free shaves. Most of my shaves include two passes and multiple touch ups around my chin and mouth area. All things considered and including a few things wildly imagined, my set up consists of tools that just work well together. My mug is super close except the bulb of my chin. I've still got work do there. I'm sure it will involve different kinds of skin stretches and angles of attack. I'm open to suggestions on how to tackle my chin from the veteran dark siders here. I could take the easy way out and grow a goatee, but why prevent a full view of this handsome face from public view? (I'm either fearless, misinformed, just plain nuts, or possibly some combination of the above. I'm still trying to sort this out via introspection and fantasy.) In any case, that would be a disservice to society, and besides, I'm bucking for the next Cartel promotion. Today's SOTD photo is chrono-inspired by @Bama Samurai.

    Enjoy your Sunday, gents!

Great to hear, it sounds like your technique is improving. It takes time to get to bbs learning to use a straight. Don’t worry before you know it the baby will come. Take your time stropping just like shaving it takes time to perfect it, that’s why we recommend a good quality but low cost strop for a while, since they end up looking like the looser in a knife fight. Once you get good you’ll know how to adjust your other soaps for sr use. Really like the look of the shave tonic bottle.
It is a bummer, but might as well let someone else get to enjoy it.

Yes Jason, if not, I get bad passes, the same with Feathers too. I was able to use a Personna blade in my shavette 3 times, but just the face. I can't get my arm contorted right now so thst's not an option for a while.
My skin is not as tough as my wiskers, I find that the fewer passes, the less irritation, that requries a blade in tip top condition, otherwise....

Nice photo Charlie. I would go with a combination of those virtues. We are all a combination of many things.

@RyX, I am a relative newcomer to the straight razor world. I have never heard of John Wick. Who is he?

Fine Santal Absolut is on my list, Gary. I enjoy Sandalwood scented products, and I notice a lot of guys here like this one.

@Paul Turner, I think it's safe to say that you should get all the Fine Aftershaves. With such a nice scent variety, it will keep the girls at The Pig guessing. Variety is the spice of life, and we ain't talking about Oregano. :D

Following your progress Charlie, all I can say is your doing great!! Wow!

One vote for "just plain nuts".
Your a member of the 30DC, so that shouldn't be questioned, it's sorta expected, so I've learned.
