Thanks Jason. It's been a little more than six months, and I've adopted some better habits. My real test will be maintaining my target weight. I've not been successful at this over the long-term, but I'm determined to make a permanent lifestyle change this time. And no skinny jeans ever for this redneck hipster. (As you know, though, redneck hipsters past a certain age have much more latitude in dress code and could actually rock bib overalls if the mood strikes.)

Thank you, Randy. My hat's off to you for losing 25 lbs! That's an awesome accomplishment and improvement in your health, and I'm confident you your journey will continue. You have been a continuous source of encouragement for me, and I thank you for that. There's one night at the meetup, though, where @NCoxSTL will take us to a fantastic rib place, and I believe it will be OK for both of us to go off the rails then. What happens in the Lou stays in the Lou.

Doug, I do also have the "D" Plate. There's not a whole lot of difference between the two. I can get a little closer shave with the "E".

Randy, the same thing happened to me after I spent six months using a shavette. This was during my first year of traditional wet shaving. Up to that point, my DE shaves were just OK. After the stint with the shavette, my DE shaves dramatically improved and became much easier. Open blade shaving definitely reinforces excellent technique.

 

the only ones i haven t tried are the fresh vetiver,green vetiver, and lavender ones..i have back up bottles of platinum, lorange noir and italian citrus..i really like fine products.. their soaps are good performers as well.the soaps don t retain their scent for long though..

Sounds like the guy who ran the welding shop i worked at. He said put your smoke out and i said install some ventilation. We never got along.
