Hey Ray. How are you? Haven't seen you around much lately.

Fuzzy... things is good. Can't complain.

House is good stuff. The girlfriend loves it and got me watching it. I usually only watch it when she does as I'm not a huge TV person.

I will definitely be including blueberry scented something in the next order I place from The Store.

Ray and Shawn... what's the performance like on JoAnna's creams? I've used her soap once and one of her creams once. Got great results from the soap, but less great results from the cream. I have to go back and revisit them, but I'm curious as to what you guys think.

 

Vetiver. Doesn't smell like cow poop to me. I like it and the lady approves of it. She does not approve of Bay Rum, which makes me excessively sad.

Ah. You answered my question already. Do you face lather or bowl lather with it, Ray?

 

Also, I think you asked about if I face lathered the Connaught, Tracy. I did indeed face lather it.

I'm definitely not a fruity scent type of guy. I like the ones shawn listed (well, those that I've tried). I also like the Bay Rums, fougeres, and some of the "clean, soapy" type scents. Lime would be the closest, and the thought of the other scents turns my stomach...

Soaps, creams, I like 'em both.

 

No rose, Matt? I love rose.

My lady's ok with Bay Rum, not too sold on the Alt Innsbruck I used today though....that got the big nose turn...

Does anyone know offhand, does the Speick splash smell like the cream? And is it coolin? Does it have menthol in it at all?

I haven't used any rose, however I'm not a big fan of the flowery scents, either. Don't like lavender, either

 

Dom I have used both TSD soaps and creams. I didn't like the cream as much as I like the soap. It was kind of drying and it didn't protect me like my other creams. Had good slickness but not the protection. The soaps I find to be quite slick and protective. As a matter of fact I face lathered up some TSD Bourbon Vanilla soap this morning. Why in the heck did I wait so long to face lather.

 

Rose is actually one of my favorite scents. I am not big floral fan but the TOBS rose is out of this world to me.

I have one TSD cream., the Vetiver. I am going to use it again here in bit. Did not shave this morning and am feeling like a pick me up. so vetiver it will be with the 1900 Superior and probably Special Reserve AS. ummmmm

Sneaky, sneaky.

Be warned that the Bay Rum soap I sent you lingers around for a while. It's very strong. My girlfriend will smell it on my face hours after my shave and ask me what the hell I have on my face.

That, coupled with the fact that it didn't give me a close shave led me to sell it. Hope it works for you.

The girlfriend also hates rose. I've stopped wearing one of my rose colognes because she can't stand it. It might go the way of that Bay Rum soap. I'm keeping my TOBS rose cream and my Trumpers rose soap, though.

Guess I'm a flowery guy. I like rose and lavender. I really like the TOBS almond and rose. I do also like sandalwood, though. Lime is a winner, though I don't like other citrus with the exception of bergamot.

 

time for an upgrade maybe...

I like TSD cream. It is not my all time favorite but it does a good job. My rountine consists of lathering, applying deodorant, hair gel ,and then start shaving. That is how I guage the drying effects of a cream. The lather is still moist and starts to dry at the end of the 1st pass. Lets say on a scale of 1-10. and 8! 9 and 10 are few and far between btw. What really shines about the cream is of course the scent selection. Do like Ray and order a bunch for cheap and decide from there! pass the not so good smeller down the line to the next person! Someone btw is receiving cotton candy in their next shipment!

 

I have not used her soaps yet but the creams performed quite well for me Dom.
I am always a bowl latherer not face. Her cream matches performance with all my other creams.
Will I change to soaps once I use hers? only the Spirit knows.

 

hahaha Remind me not to buy anything until it is gone.

I am glad to hear that I am one of the only fruit scents only guys here.
I stick with creams because they stay in their containers. Soap puck has to go in a mug and then no place to go afterwards. At least for me.

 

I think I remember the cream being a little thin. I can't remember much else other than that I didn't like it nearly as much as the soap.

Glad you've discovered face lathering.

That TOBS is quite nice. You're probably sick of me saying it, but it's one of my favorite creams.

Matt - if I knew you hadn't tried any rose products, I would have sent you a sample of the TOBS rose. It's great.

Glad the cotton candy didn't end up in my package. I ordered a sampler of things from the store at the beginning of the year: chocolate and raspberry a/s milk; iced lime, Sub Zero, almond, and gingerbread and spice aftershave; gingerbread and spice, and frankincense soap; banana, vetiver, and egg nog.

Figured that was a good sampling. The soap, milk, and aftershave were very good to me.

Her soap is awesome, Ray.

I put my soaps in the plastic ziplock containers, Ray.

 

Oh. And I hope things don't get too wild there today, Ray.
