Day 23. 3 passes with the Dovo, cleaned up with the tech. I had a noticibly better shave today with the straight. I guess the stars all lined up. A good part of my face didn't really need to be gone over with the tech. Just simpler to do the whole pass than worry about where.
20,000 likes fello shavers, wow..thank you all for your kindness..thought i would have a nice shave,gillette gold rocket, gsb blade and the rr barrel badger complete the hardware,paa doppelganger black lathered up wonderfully, fantastic 2 pass combination shave, with minor pick ups,dfs plus.. first use with this razor,same as the nickel one..very smooth and efficient.black aftershave/cologne to finish..nice stuff..thank you again everyone for your advice and friendship.i am glad to be here..have a great day..gary
January 27 SOTD: Razor: Gillette '41 Ranger Tech Blade: Polsilver Brush: PAA Starcraft Lather: Soapy Science Doc's Special Blend Aftershave: Chatillon Lux Unconditional Surrender Additional Care: Stirling Unscented PSB Birthday shave this morning, and I wanted some Unconditional Surrender to go with it. As has been the case, the 41 RT gives a smooth shave that is just easy. I hadn't used this soap in a while, but it was as good as I remember. I skipped yesterday, and we were running late for church this morning, which is why I have a late post. I hope everyone has had a great day.
Lost mom and dad just over 2 years ago. Still haven't sorted the boxes of pictures and finished documents. They just sit in the spare bed room. Yep I under stand...... tp

Good evening gents! I just completed Dovo shavette no. 18 (43). I have used the same setup for every focus shave except switching to different blades. Did my usual 2 pass shave, got one tiny nick on chin. It was a tad under BBS because I didn't clean up the few invisible hairs on my neck near the ear under the jawline. So, my klutziness came out when I decided to clean the razor and blade with alcohol after tge shave. As I was putting the insert and blade in the razor, I nicked the tip of my forefinger. Didn't feel it and wrapped it with paper towel and alcohol. In fact, it hardly bled and left asmidgen of a tiny cut. Due to my klutziness I am lowering the grade to 92 = A-.
Thanks Charlie. I like my Gems but if the guy wouldn't had dropped the price to 5 bucks. Well he liked that I was going to put it to good use. I showed him pictures of the things I post here and he just said 5 and it's yours. Nice guy. Got a Schick L-1 too. The darn thing looks brand new, 5 bucks. The shoulder, well if I can sleep at night without it waking me up, it's better. It's getting better because I sleep now. tp
