With regard to the Fat Handled Tech, that particular baseplate is pretty difficult to find so you’ve definitely made a great purchase. Top caps and baseplates are pretty easy to source in the U.K. so drop me a line if you need another one and I’ll keep an eye out for you.

Whew its been a long morning to get to this point. Halfway through the morning commute the snow started to fall and fall and fall. Of course have the staff here didn't make it in on time or at all so that made for a very hectic morning. Luckily before that I got a shave in! My wife bought me this shave cream and stand so of course I had to give it a go. The cream off the tub is black and although on the Viking Blades website they list the scent as "Calm, Luxurious and Mature", I really couldn't detect a scent. I scooped out a fingers worth of the cream (which was too much) and whipped it up into a nice lather in my scuttle. Once I felt I had the lather ready I painted it on and went to work. I don't know if it was the lather or the blade but the shave felt a little rough. There seemed to be an abnormally high amount of blade feel for the FB on 6 and it felt a bit tuggy. I will give the blade another shot with some Stirling lather to determine if it was the blade or the lather that was the issue. The results however were a nice DFS with no irritation so I can't complain there. have a great day me friends!

Wow! Never heard of charcoal shave soap before but I have 2 charcoal shower gels that I really like . Nice to see we arent the only ones getting snow, it's so lovely it should be shared all over the world...not! Drive safely.

Yeah, it's coming our way too. Current forecast is down to -13° Tuesday night, and the high for Wednesday -3°. But Indiana being Indiana, we're supposed to get back up to 50° this weekend.

Day 24.

Three passes with the Dovo, finished with the tech. Not quite as good as yesterday, but pretty close. I still probably could skip the tech if I were pinched for time.

New blade today, another great refreshing shave in the books. Turkey dinner tonight , just like she made me 2 years ago when we met. It's been actually 2 years +2 days but whos counting.

Patrick.......Congrats on the shave and the 2+2 anniversary.

And this was today's head shave . Grew it in since Christmas but realized bald is beautiful. She said it would only last a month before I shaved it bald again. Headshaves mean more soap and blades are required anyway. I'm happy with that theory.
