RazoRock 400 Noir Plissoft Synthetic Shaving Brush
Salsa Bowl / Timeless bowl scuttle
    Williams Mug Soap
    Voshkod blade
Gillette – “Property of U.S. Army” Head (1918) on a Weber Bulldog Handle
    Nivea Post Balm
    Pinaud Clubman Classic Aftershave

Yes, that is correct. I brought out the notorious and supposed fickle Williams Mug soap this morning and shaved with it for the first time. I had lathered it up one day last week in the afternoon just to see if it could be done. I did not shave with it then. That was my practice run. I have to admit that it felt like Fuzzy was watching me this morning.

I dampened the brush this morning and swirled it onto the dry Williams and picked up some of the soap on the tip of the bristles. I then finished lathering up the Williams in the salsa bowl like I do all of my soaps, adding water as needed. I was really impressed with the Williams. It does take a little longer but it whips up nice and thick. This was impressive due to all of the Williams horror stories I had heard.

I lathered up my face and made two passes. The old Gillette head and Williams seem like they were made for each other. It was a nice close comfortable shave with just a tingle of alum.

I finished up with some Nivea and Clubman Classic.

I am now officially a Williams user. I do like it and will definitely keep it my rotation. Fuzzy is right! It is a great soap and I did not have to “molest” it get a great lather out of it.

Y'all take care and have a great day and remember Fuzzy is watching you.

Thank you. Im blown away by the quality and price of the brush. I particularly like the aluminum one, I have a @twhite 400 that I'm keeping boxed up for my grandson when he's of age.

I had such a hard time getting a decent lather from Williams, could be my hard water or lack of trying. I'm a very lazy latherer.

A lot of people do but I must have soft water. Have you tried a little bit of distilled or bottled water to see if actually is your water? I was fortunate that I did not have to "work" for it.

I had my water tested, I did try bottled water once, no better unfortunately. This was the newer of the Williams not the old stuff, not sure if that matters?
