After a second poor Shave with a relatively fresh Gem blade, I should have realised that in the process of changing Razors and perhaps whilst in my travel kit, that blade had been damaged. That is why yesterday in one of favourite 1912s it just did not work, and I wound up with another unsatisfactory Shave and an irritated neck.

Today, to save any problems I used the ATT SE1 which always delivers. Despite the blade being on its 10th outing, I had a very smooth and comfortable Shave, with an excellent close all round finish. That Gem blade has been consigned to the bn.

These were some SE/Injector shaves from the last week. It featured a SCHICK TYPE N2 with a vintage gillette twinjector (always a easy and great shave) - Also used my favorite - the 1914 Ever-Ready (mini lather catcher) and used a weird Schick type G - weird because the handle is torquise and a creamish brown mixture - this is washed, so it has to be the color they wanted - this razor had nice blade feel - maybe cuz its older and a little beat up? there all unique to me when there used and I love em all --- peace out - Jamie

i spent lots of time searching for vintage Injector blades while i am at my job - when you have a BORING Information Technology job and you are trapped in a cube - things like hunting for old injector blades keep me sane -haha - as long as the blade is from the 1970s onward - i am game! i stay away from anything older as they suck - ahahahaha! on a sad note - i RUINED a magazine of personna electro coated blades - i could not get blade to slide out - so as i was messing with the spring with a little flat head i accidentally jammed the head in front of the sharp side from the stack of blades - BAD!!! i eventually was able to free the blades but the all had mangled section - really sad - cuz i love them electro coated personnas

Too bad! You sent me some vintage blades a while back when I sent you the Fred's New Spice. I love them! Gillette Platinum are great and the Personna Ultra Chrome as well. Thanks!

    Thur 31st Jan

    Vulfix 404 mixed
    Blue`s Soap
PAA Starling SE- V2 /Windrose Handle
    Gem S/S [ 2 ]
    Floid Vigoroso A/S Lotion

I decided to resume an aborted SE/ Gem rotation, when I experienced some unpleasant Shaves due to a faulty blade. I used the Starling for a 3rd time , and now have state that it was the blade that caused it to perform badly last time out. Today it was nice and smooth, and I got a good close finish apart from around the neck whereI often have problems with other Razors. I actually think that this Razor might be more efficient than some of the later Gem/SEs,such as a G-Bar and Push Button.
