Update on my wife's friend Martha (who was in the terrible wreck on Christmas Eve) - She was moved from the hospital to a rehab facility yesterday. She has done remarkably well. Her memory has returned for the most part. She knows who people are and can remember past dates and events. There was a time where this was a problem but she has apparently turned a corner. Alice was able to go see her last week and they had a wonderful visit. Long road of recovery ahead but some hurdles have already been crossed.

Thank you for your prayers for her situation and please keep them coming. Miracles do happen, every day. I've been witness to that in Wilson's early life and now with this situation.

Razor: English Gillette FB Tech/US Long Bar Cap
    Blade: 7 o'Clock Permasharp Stainless (3)
    Brush: Razorock Plissoft 22
    Soap: Williams
    Post: Alum, Listerine, WH

One more shave with my newly acquired FB Tech, but substituting a US Long Bar cap for the possibly damaged one that came with it. Definitely milder with just a bit of blade feel. Pretty much what I would expect from it. Overall, a near-enough BBS with the only issue being that I briefly reopened yesterday's nick.

To be honest, I'm glad that the only issue with this razor seems to be a damaged cap. That is something which can be easily dealt with.

A late morning shave this morning, as I am off of my routine. I am hoping things get worked out between the company and union so I don't have to become a full time operator. As it is, I get to go in at 6:00 this evening just in case. In years past, we show up at 6:00 and then go home around 11:00 as they either work something out or agree to an extension. Hopefully this is the same, as none of us want a work stoppage. The Walbusch was smooth and easy this morning, at least. I hope everyone has a great day!

Hopefully the negotiations go well. Maybe it's just me but things seem more tense this go around.

Thank you, Jim. At the local level, I think they are down to one item left, and it doesn't sound big to me, so hopefully that gets taken care of. We haven't heard much out of the international, but we are hopeful those go better than in 2015.

Now that was hands down the funniest shave report I’ve read. And thankfully I was in between sips of my coffee. But did the veg actually overpower the skink juice preshave?

Much smoother shave today. The Schick blade that I used yesterday makes this Vi-John feel like a Pol-Silver! First shave with the big Omega pro boar knot and I like it. Though I feel like I'm cheating because this knot already feels like its half broken in. Finished with some Stirling Bay Rum balm and my face is feeling great! Have a great day my friends!

@9nein9, I tossed the Rapira half-blade after four shaves in the Parker. That's the equivalent of eight shaves on a full DE blade, which is about as long as I've ever gone with one. It was still cutting fine, but it wasn't as smooth on my old mug. I've got enough blades to last for the next 30 years, so I better get on with using 'em. :)

I plan to shave with my Trac II for the next four days and then return to the Parker SRX next week. Just for fun, I'll try the Trac II with all the fancy fixins' (shave soap, brush, etc.) and also with brushless shave cream. This little razor has been all over with me, and it delivers a pretty nice shave.
