We'll get along like two roaches on a piece of bread when we meet in person at the meet up, Randy. Or you'll just punch me in the nose. :happy102:

I have a tech similar to the one in your 2nd pic, don't think it's flat bottom but I know I had to look on the original blade for the date code, luckily the guy I bought it from saved that old blade.

Pro 49 is basically a nightclub foam party. It was one of my first brushes.

Yes, it does have a high loft, but it does lather hard pucks quite well.

    Oh well thanks Charlie.
I haven't ever been able to use any razor with more than one blade. The two blade razors just pull and pull.
So not sure I would try That one out.
    Thanks for the info!

And after you shave, there's enough soap left to degrease an engine block. But if you're like me, playing with shave soap is kinda fun. I use Barbasol, often, and mostly to demonstrate that TSD is a place for everyone.

I know this is a cheap post to help get us to 7,000, but I have to get to sleep because I need to be up by 6:30 and want to get to my first Feb. shave. Good night everyone!

We need to book another room at a buffet. It was really nice just to randomly mingle and dine.

Thanks Perry. I checked, and my chemistry teacher taught for 51 years. I think that's amazing.

Here's one more story of a past teacher (actually a professor) that had a great impact on me. He's still teaching.
I began engineering school in 1979, and this gentlemen had been teaching for a few years. I had him for Freshman Calculus: https://louisville.edu/speed/spotlights/tyler-55YearsTeaching . Fast forward to 2011 or so...I took a young man to the University of Louisville, and we sat in on some engineering classes and spoke to some professors to give him an idea of what he could expect. We visited Dr. Tyler's class, and man did that bring back some memories. Come to think of it....I'm retired. I could go back and visit anytime. I think I'll do that. :)

I had to do that on a badger that I found pretty floppy. It has since been re-knotted as the original didn’t last more than a year.

You might be surprised, Terry. Your technique is likely better now than it ever has been. Using a Trac II with a proper brush and soap is a really nice shave for me anyway. What's the worst that could happen? ;) All kidding aside, if your current stash of razors work for you, there's no need to buy more. :happy068:

Agreed. That was a perfect place for the meet up group. None of the patrons or servers seemed to mind the all the open blades, either. And they served ice cream for breakfast. I'm in!

No need to buy more? What kind of reverse enabling is that Charlie.

When Terry started to dig in, I was forced to introduce one of the advanced enabling techniques. No worries, it's sanctioned by the Cartel.
