Sunday 3rd February Man Cave Olivestone Facial Scrub Pears Glycerine Soap Clubman Shave Butter (Preshave) TOBS Royal Forest Shaving Cream Yaqi Heavy Metal Synthetic Brush Feather AC SS in Scotchwood with a Proline-P Giles Shaving Co Bowl Alum and Rinse Simple Facial Toner Palmer's Raw Shea Moisturiser Murray & Lanman Florida Water Aventus type PO Perhaps a little over the top with the Shave Prep.....but I had a day outside in the cold yesterday and my face was very dry this morning, and of course you should always try to pamper yourself at least once a week! The Royal Forest is my favourite TOBS cream to date. It is reported to have a scent similar to Creed Aventus. Now .....I have never tried Aventus but it is very slick and fruity and a pleasure to use. 2 passes and a touch up for a perfect BBS finish and a great way to start a Sunday
I used a Lord all plastic (except for the blade) shavette today. These are veddy light. Had a great shave with the Wilkerson Sword soap. There is a video on the Shaving With Fuzzy youtube channel.
Parker srx, I started using a Dovo stainless steel before I bought the parker, I felt the Dovo was a bit lightweight as I prefer some weight in my hand, the parker defo gave me that...and a bit more, I am gonna stick with it for the 30 days then go back to the Dove, see if I can use a light razor... My efforts with the srx will stand me in good stead for the dovo I think, I already had a few nicks and a decent sized scrape from the dovo and that was because it was so light I was digging in, but with the help/advice I got on here I am now a bit more educated...I actually feel the srx to be heavy for my light grip now. I love the aesthetics of both but I want a Feather ss, I would like to master these first tho. I clean up with a £5 de razor that is ok, I literally just picked it up and started cleaning up no problem at all... I was a little surprised, but it really seemed like I had never left the DE razors, used one from around 16 to 25 then I fell into the cartridge trap...coz that is what it is..a trap to get you to pay high prices for 99% plastic items..I am glad I found this forum...but also glad I never found it 30 years ago...or I would probably need a huge outhouse to keep my kit in...I have seen some of the guys kit...it is quite unbelievable, well to most.. I am a self confessed collector, mine was fishing gear, Tho I really did use most of it, it was modern high end stuff...not antique, but a lot was expensive for the branch of fishing I do/did.I dont get out like i used to...even in winter at -10 we would camp out for weekends etc. Now I am a fair weather fisherman My brush is a Proraso pro, I bought it because I wanted a longer brush with a good firm backbone...and that is what this brush, very happy with it so far...again..I intend to buy a badger hair but I still have a bit to learn on them...silvertip too soft ??... Best hair still too soft ?? i dono not tried or had a look yet, Im hoping I can get a firmer BH brush for under £30...or I will look at synthetice or horsehair...or msybe a mixed

Thursday 28th March (am) Pears Glycerine Soap Proraso Green Pre Shave Creightons Ultra Rich Shaving Cream Omega 0196820 Black Fibre Brush Turkish Copper Shaving Bowl Focus R28 Slim Al with an Astra Blade Alum and Rinse Palmer's for Men Moisturiser Old Spice Whitewater AS It was a very early start this morning.....so a quick 2 pass shave had to suffice. A good shave which kept me socially acceptable for the day!
Kai Captan blades for feather ac, I got them to try and after two shaves I noticed the polished edge now has a very dark blue hue...like steel that gas been heat treated, is this a normal occuranc ?, It was the mild blade and im not raving about it.
April 19-20 Parker SRX Feather (1 & 2) B-400 by Tom handle w/Envy White Supreme Two-band knot C.O. Bigelow Alum, Thayers WH, USB, and Pinaud Clubman 61st and 62nd focus shaves I enjoyed a three-pass shave with the Parker SRX for the final shave of my current (62 shave) focus. My skill level and confidence with open blade shaving has increased, but I still have room to improve. I congratulate those who have completed 100 or more successive open blade shaves, and I'm confident that they're further along in their learning process. Open blade shaving will continue to be a fun part of the hobby for me. If I can do it, anyone certainly can. Cheers!
I used my Dovo shavette with a new Voskhod half-blade! Two passes, minor touchups, 1 weeper and irritation-free BBS shave.
