weird story here in atlanta last night..... Crazy guy goes downtown in a rough part of town(white guy). Dresses like a business guy and walks through the worse street in Atlanta(Simpson St). People just dont do that! Well....guy tries to mug him at gun point? The guy pulls out a huge caliber hand gun and kills the mugger. Said he was sick of society and thought he would excercise his rights to bear arms. Said it was the last time the guy would ever rob an innocent person. Two weeks ago the guy and his girlfriend were robbed in Midtown of $30. The guy walked without even a warning because it was self defense. The guy had some balls huh?

 

That guy would never be able to get away with that in Baltimore. No way. First, all the neighbors would start shooting back. Then with how corrupt the city is, and with the NAACP's heavy influence, they'd turn it into a racial thing.

Plus, he went out with the intent to lure a would-be mugger just so he could "exercise his rights to bear arms." I think they could probably get the guy at the very least on conspiracy, if not on actual murder. Follow the story, keep us posted. I think the guy's a jackass and is actually hurting the pro-2nd Amendment group by doing something like this. In reality he couldn't get over the feeling of emasculation caused by the first mugging, so he sought vengeance. Bad move.

Okay........ I am feeling much better and wish to leave this sterile enviroment where they won't even let me light up a doobie!! And I tried like hell too!! The first time, a nurse walked in on me twisting one up. She just laughed and asked me to please put it away. Second time that same nurse came in, I pulled something else out, and she smiled (not laughed... hehe) and asked me to put it away.............

Yeah, I figure I'll leave it up through the rest of the day to see if the price gets any action. It's $10 less than the other Slims up there. But the board is flooded with Slims right now... :mad: I can wait it out...

And I did have a fantastic shave with my Slim last night!

Great shave with the slim on 4 this am. Picked up a "Barbershop old time luxury" mug for $5 yesterday. It's decent, but doesn't give me the room to whip up lather like my latte mug.

 

Just about 2 minutes left on that blade bank............

 

Morning DA. That's what my Slim is set on, 4. I haven't really tried any other settings, yet... I set it on 4 because that's what my Fatboy was set on, and it seemed to work well...

 

I keep my Slim set on 5. Always have..............

yeah, thanks rolls. Now I'm reading up on using media tumblers (for cleaning shell casings) on SRP, and thinking about going out to pick one up. More $$...but after that initial investment (around $50-$60), it seems like I can pick up the crappiest blades and get them looking great, and without damaging any etching. Of course, I'll need a drill press to drill out the pins, a bandsaw to cut scales, probably a belt sander, too....

And that's still taking into account I don't have any hones, either, so I'd have to send them out to be honed.....

Matt, you do not need all that crap. A Dremel tool will do jjust fine. All you need is a steady hand, and patience. Remove all the rust, work on any pitting if you can, and then polish them up good. If you are already on SRP, you should do a search for each of the straights you picked up and see how much they sell for.

 

Morning, BOng. My son said that he got an envelope from you yesterday. I reckon that is the blades. Hopefully, these bastards will let me out in the next couple days so I can try them out!!

 

Rolls, looks like you are doing well. That's good, was pretty worried when Jason gave us an update on Saturday.
I still like the yellow box out of the various 7 oclock blades.

Matt, did you buy that lot of straights off CL? I have a big tumbler if you need to clean them. Just send them my way.

 

It was on the late night news. The interview with him was less than 30 sec.. He didnt state that he was "luring" anyone because he was walking down a public street. If the other guy wasnt armed the public would be crazy right now. The news did not disclose the race or name of the would be mugger I did not make the newspaper b/c you can imagine the backlash it would create. Kind of reminded me of the movie "falling Down". The police spokesman said that charges would not be filed and the street was known for its extreme violence. We will see. Trust me....Atlanta is quite the brewing pot for racial issues. OH......the guys name or face wasnt disclosed for his safety also.
