    Focus detour # 4

    I completed the fourth and final shave of my focus detour, and I plan to return to the Parker SRX tomorrow for shave no. 31. Today was Menthol Monday, and the B-400 by Tom whipped up a ton of C.O. Bigelow lather. Two passes plus some touch-ups ensued, and I'm near BBS. The Trac II is easy to use and always provides a wonderful shave. I'm off to run an errand with my Bride, and then we get to see our kiddos.

    Quick adjustable slim ( in lieu of fat boy) report..... I had razor set on 6 with new voshkod razor. I even used the riding the cap technique with cautious soft handed multiple pass shave yesterday. Well my face is still a bit irrirtated today, my face feels a bit tore up , Or toe’ up as we say in the south. Pretty much similar results before I sold an adjustable aristocrat. Maybe I’m spoiled by decent straight razor shaves.

    I learned from today's shave that Barbasol works better with a scented A.S. Yesterday, I used Stoylin Unscented with it, and while both are fine products individually, I wasn't impressed using them together.

    Ever-Ready Shovelhead on a Weber Bulldog Handle
    Nivea Post Balm
    Pinuad Clubman Classic

    Second test run of the shovelhead this morning. This a great razor and does an amazing job.
    No weepers or nicks. Just a nice comfortable shave with very little alum burn. I completed two passes and cleaned up a few areas on the neck.
    Finished up with some Nivea post balm and Clubman classic
