    Mitchell's Wool Fat
    Jayaruh #313
    Henry Taylor 5/8
    CWR
    English Leather

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #313 badger brush. I did two passes with the Henry Taylor 5/8 razor and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with English Leather AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

User grade Gen 1 Filly 14, shave #1 after a bevel reset and honing last night, details are over on the honing thread. Soap was MdC original lathered with a dense Simpsons 58 and Thayers Lavender finished things up. A spritz of MdC lavender water kept me smelling fresh.

    Cheers, Steve

Today's shave was with a newly Acquired, Restored, and Honed razor. I had a very smooth 2 pass shave, that left me near BBS, without touch-ups. Zero issues, and a finely made razor. The Taylor of Old Bond Street was a fantastic soap. Great lather, great slickness. Thanks @Sparrow .

    Razor- J.A.Henckels, Twinsworks. Solingen Germany.
Brush- B400 By Tom. Whipped Dog Boar. 12 hairs shed. I don't think I will be putting up with the shedding much longer.
Soap- Taylor of Old Bond Street. Cedarwood.
    Aftershave- Pinaud Lime Sec

St Joanis 39, an old horn-scaled French frameback that I honed up last night from a butterknife edge. Soap was LpL Rose de Pushkar lathered with a Persian Jar 1, Thayers rose petal toner finished up, and a dot or two of Rose de Pushkar AS (too strong for AS IMO, but not complaining at all) kept the morning fresh.

The old lady shaved as well as any CVH, Filly, or Tanifuji.

    Cheers, Steve

Newly Acquired, Restored, and Honed. Perfectly smooth, 2 pass shave, that was very noisy. Absolutely smooth ATG pass, that left me BDBS. Zero issues, and no aftershave burn.

Razor- Chicago Pocket Knife Co. Sheffield England
Brush- B400 By Tom. WD Boar Knot. 4 hairs shed. Sooner or later it will run out of hair, or I will just yank it out. Feels good though.
Soap- Taylor Of Old Bond Street, Sandalwood. Very nice soap. Thanks @Sparrow
Aftershave- Shulton Old Spice. Mmmm Mmmmm Good.

It must be awesome to shave with a straight razor that was new when President Jefferson was in the Executive Mansion.
