    Here it is for Wednesday(2-6):

    prep-Dove 4 Men Bodywash(Clean&Comfort) in shower
    shave-Central Texas Soaps(Grandpa's Barbershop)**
    brush-Stoylin "li'l brudder" Synthetic
    -
razor-Gillette Sensor Deuce Pivot + DisposeABLE
    A.S.-Clubman Special Reserve

**-In a "post-soliloquoy" recently, I described to my soliloquoy-shaver that Central Texas Soaps has made two changes" 1)-- the creation of its website, 2)-the removal of bentonite clay from its soaps. I'm trapped now, as I can't provide a review for CTS, as when I bought mine it had the clay in it(got it from West Coast Shaving Co). I'm not worried about THAT, but I'll be "grandfathering the Grandpa's Barbershop w/clay" for a long time. But just so you know, no more clay in CTS soaps.

Newly Acquired, Restored, and Honed. Perfectly smooth, 2 pass shave, that was very noisy. Absolutely smooth ATG pass, that left me BDBS. Zero issues, and no aftershave burn.

Razor- Chicago Pocket Knife Co. Sheffield England
Brush- B400 By Tom. WD Boar Knot. 4 hairs shed. Sooner or later it will run out of hair, or I will just yank it out. Feels good though.
Soap- Taylor Of Old Bond Street, Sandalwood. Very nice soap. Thanks @Sparrow
Aftershave- Shulton Old Spice. Mmmm Mmmmm Good.

Due to some tips and advice from this forum, I changed a few minor things to my grip ( parker srx ) and my routine, tonight I have had my best result by far, if I can continue this and even stay at this level I will be a happy chappy, obviously looking to improve all the time and now that I see a improvement i'm happy, " it is not a race " as someone said on here and I slowed right down, my new extending mirror helped too.
I have barely had the parker 2 weeks and maybe used it 8 or 9 times, so a long time to go before i'm shaving in 4 mins .
I do not have loads of soaps or razors ( yet ) but I am happy with my, . proraso pre and proraso soap...both red. Styptic pencil not required tonight but still used the alum block, I have been using feather blades and gillette up until tonight and have plenty different ones to try...but tonight I used one from a box of 50 single edge... Maybe the feather is a little too aggressive for me, I will stick with these for a while if I keep getting good results, Still got Astra's, 7 o'clock and Derby to try. This place is my Church now

    Glad to hear it!

The great thing about shaving is you get to try again in a day or so. Take your time and don’t be too quick to change too many things at once.

I will say that we may be more like Shavaholics Unanimous than church. We probably offer more enabling than redemption. Unless of course you’re thinking we saved you from a life of disposable cartridges or an electric razor.

    Shave on!

Pre-shave:- Cold Water straight from the tap
Brush:- RazoRock Plissoft Synth. 24/57mm knot
Soap/Cream:- Arko (4 shaving sticks grated into a 250ml plastic tub)
    Bowl/Scuttle:- Captain's Choice
    Razor/Blade:- Rockwell 6C 'R6' / Vintage NOS Wizamet Polsilver Brown #8
Post-shave:- Thayers Witch Hazel & Tea Tree Oil / WAHL Bay Rum Aftershave Splash
    Fragrance:- L'eau D'issey Pour Homme

I don't normally shave every single day, so why not for the whole month of February Summer Arko shave, I'm glad my skin is holding up for Arko just a tag dryer on my face for everyday shave which is no drama.

Arko shave stick seems fantastic for the whole summer season, so you don't have to worry too much about your skin drying out because we all start sweating again soon, Arko stick is fantastic when using only cold water because the lather explodes very quickly and very slick throughout the whole shave with a tip of water for each pass. I'm glad to have a whole of 12 Arko shave sticks suitable for Spring and Summer shaves, I'm not complaining about the smell of a very light lemon scent which is nowhere to a urinal cake smell.

I never liked cartridge, I will not go back to them, I am not a green save the planet type of guy, but there is definately a world wide problem with too much packaging, having my new tools makes me feel a little better that I am not adding to my carbon footprint but slightly improving it.
To deflect a little, I dont want to start another post, but I am unsure where to post it anyway...can someone put up a few links to shaving shops/websites..I'm still kinda looking at ebay and amazon as well as shavenation...the latter being the best by far, so any more like that to find some soaps and creams etc etc...tia.

Try westcoastshaving.com. Free shipping and good sample packs. Also go ahead to stirlingsoap.com to get a few samples there. I have only been wet shaving for a year and a half. This forum is awesome! So much help here!

Razor- Gibbs no. 15, got a replacement handle from Frugal Shave inbound
    Blade- Gibbs NOS
Brush- Prometheus Handcrafts w/ a Turn N Shave "tip" bulb knot
Soap- Local Gent Shave Co. Lime St.
    AS- Pinaud Clubman

Really impressed with the Gibbs, it's incredibly efficient. Compared to the Rex it's more aggressive and has a larger range of adjustment.

A very enjoyable and satisfying shave with the Gamechanger. The Kai just gives it a wonderful bump in feel and whisker cutting prowess. The Tuscan Oud is just fabulous with better than average performance and heavenly sweet woody scent. A wonderful evening and great shaves to all.... :happy088:

    WEDNESDAY'S SHAVE

Razor - Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements - Double Open Comb Ascension (316L Stainless Steel Adjustable) (1/8th turn)
    Blade - Astra Superior-Platinum *5th shave
Brush - Satin Tip "The Purest"
    Razor/Brush Stand by Royal Shave
    Lather Bowl by Royal Shave
Soap - Cyril R. Salter "Sandalwood" cream style
Aftershave - PAA "Sangre de Drago"
    Deodorant - Sam's Natural "Tobacco"
Fragrance - Bvlgari "Man in Black"

I'm trying to take advantage of the cold weather while I have it with these deep, rich scents. Sangre de Drago goes really well with Bvlgari Man in Black. Great combo IMO.

**EDIT - I got the first top-notch shave from the PAA Ascension SS razor. Seems that I did much better not over-thinking the shave. Before I was focusing too much and this morning I just shaved and didn't think. The result was much better than any other shave with this razor.
