February 6, 2019 Supply SE V2 - 2 dot plate Schick Proline Thäter 4125/3 Asylum Colonia I had a pretty rough night last night. The PT yesterday left me in a lot of residual pain that seemed to get worse as the day went one. Oh well, today is a new day and this shave lineup brought a smile to my face. Face lathering with the Thäter is a luxury and the scent of the Colonia kicked the luxury up another level. Three passes and touch ups ended with the baby in hand. Given how I felt, I am somewhat surprised by the results. A splash of the matching aftershave and I am off to fight the morning commute. I hope everyone has a great Wednesday.
Thank you, Clint! I envy you fellas with your warm weather. 19 degrees American right now with snow predicted by lunchtime. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Awesome B&W, Clint! I agree with you about Thater brushes...pure luxury. Sorry to hear that your pain kept you up. I hope that PT pays off and can get you some relief. Good luck on the commute today.
Sorry about the rough night, Clint. Great shave and beautiful photo! Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Thanks! When I started shaving as a teenager, I always used Old Spice. Unfortunately, today's version is not the same.

02/06/2019 RazoRock 400 Noir Plissoft Synthetic Shaving Brush Halleluiah Pottery Shaving Bowl 1995 Williams Mug Soap CVS SE Blade Ever-Ready Shovelhead on a Weber Bulldog Handle Pinuad Clubman Classic Third test run of the shovelhead this morning. Dampened the RazoRock brush and swirled a little Williams on the bristles and then created some awesome lather in the Halleluiah Pottery shaving bowl. To work up the Williams I use a larger bowl than the Salsa bowl. It does take longer to whip up the Williams but is does great in the larger bowl. No weepers or nicks. Just a nice comfortable shave with very little alum burn. I completed two passes and cleaned up a few areas on the neck. Finished up with some Clubman classic. I am really getting into the shovelhead and the SE shaves. I may break out one of the Feather Weights next. Y'all take care and have a great day hump day!
Thank you, Perry! I see you used the Stirling GLO this morning. I'm getting the chills just thinking about it. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Thanks Perry! A lot of people have issues with it but I think I have soft water and the RazoRock brush just seems to whip it in to shape.
February 6th Canadian NEW LC w Sputnik (1) B&M Seville APShaveCo Flattop/Sapele Handle Thayers CL Unconditional Surrender AS Got back home late last night and was happy to have a shave in ‘the den’ this morning. Back to the NEW for Favourties February. Coupled it with the first use of a Sputnik. @NCoxSTL send me some different blades to settle up my failed NB bet with him. Most are different Rapiras that I haven’t tried, but there was a tuck of these Sputniks in there as well, and I thought I might as well start with these. Whipped up an very good lather with the Seville and Flattop and had 3 very nice passes. Like most every St. Petes blade I’ve tried, the Sputnik performed admirably. I’ll keep this combo going for a few days. It wouldn’t be Favourites February for me without a healthy dose of CL splashes and the Unconditional Surrender was a super way to finish a good shave. I followed along a bit yesterday, but quite superficially. Hopefully I’ll get a chance to get caught up on the thread a bit. Have a great day, all!
