Good job Patrick! Assuming I understood the gentleman was riding rather than hauling his snow scooter. You did him a solid getting it running during the late shift. Karma points!

    Thank you Bruce!

Good of you to keep the shavette going Charlie! Keep it up and I might shop me one to see if it's better than the Luxor Non-Pro.
Those Calvin & Hobbes strips almost make me miss living where it snows. Almost.

Check with your local resale shops. I quit seeking Shulton Old Spice when I found my 4th or 6th full bottle in the wild. It's much less expensive off a dusty shelf than shopping the bay. I've got some of the new blend decanted into an old bottle. Have to check it again. It was good, but not like the Original.

Was just informed they continued on their way early this morning. These guys are hardcore snowmobiles, no trailers. I haven't snowmobiled last 2 years but I know what it's like to have something break on the trails. Was just trying to pay it forward.

I'm not sure which was shorter, the shave or the report. No stoppers in the gym sinks, not my favorite place to shave.

Something to shop for? TrueValue has a universal stopper for $1.79.

    This begs the question:

    Universal bottle?

And while we're here, let's consider the coming issue of universal solvents.

@wristwatchb - what ya got here?

    Razor: Post-War US Tech/Fat Handle
    Blade: German Wilkie (3)
    Brush: VdH Boar
    Soap: Stirling Naked And Smooth
    Post: Alum, Listerine, WH

The VdH Boar has been repaired and I gave it a run today. It definitely dropped a few bristles but I'm inclined to think that I just need to soak it more as it hadn't been used in a while. My big concern would be that the glue bump in the knot was damaged with the knot came out, somehow compromising the integrity of the knot.

No complaints about the lather or the shave.

No worries. Containment of 4th state matter in a magnetic field!
Skip ahead to 1 minute mark for a colorful example, or watch from the beginning to know which doodads needed to build your own.

Essential for building a Bussard Ramjet.

Thanks Bruce. Yes, it has been a lot of fun. I'm really glad you're enjoying the Parker as well. Anything with "SRX" in the handle is cool.

    Thanks Clint!
Thanks Jason. I really enjoy the scent of the L'Orange Noir. I have the Terre d’Hermès Parfum. I'm not really a cologne guy, but I've loved this one ever since I first used it. The AS is close, but the Parfum has more depth and projection.

Calvin and Hobbes remind us that we're all big kids at heart. In their innocence, kids see through the smoke and value the simple things. Unfortunately (in some ways), we lose our childlike ways as we move through life. Bill Watterson has a fantastic way of bringing us back for a few enjoyable moments. The message is timeless. I'm a big Calvin fan. Aging is mandatory. Thankfully, maturing is optional. :)

These frames describe a good part of my life:

Thanks Andrew. The doughnut is maybe the size of a half dollar coin. I'll include a photo in my next SOTD post.
Thanks Patrick. You have to be an eager beaver to keep up 'round these parts. Everyone seems to be working for their Merit Badger.

Thanks Rick. I appreciate the encouragement. You can't go wrong with the SRX. Same here on the snow. I like it better in the comics than in my backyard.

I bought it a couple of years ago on Etsy and I have forgotten the sellers name. It is maple and I think the knot TGN. It got hidden in the back row, I like this brush and should use it often. I use it sibling tomorrow.

Declan sure is serious about his yoga!

Treetopping hairs is the way I test also. The mange is only bad when I have to start at setting the bevel, a refresh is very minimal treetopping. I always feel like I’m going to damage the edge if I thumbnail test it. But the best is a shave test, if it’s not right then I’ll go back to the stones and then finish the shave.
