Thanks for your post. I just ordered a puck. My local Shoprite used to carry pucks of Williams for even less, at around $1.19. But for some reason they stopped carrying it before I decided to pull one off the shelf. The only reason I'm buying one is purely out of curiosity. I'll stick it in an empty tub that I was using for a sample once the sample is gone which should be in a couple of shaves.

Thanks for the offer but I'm guessing my buying a puck from Walgreens for $1.59 is still a lot cheaper than you sending me one in the mail.

Not bad at all. Keep us up on what you think of the soap. There is a Williams thread too.

ordered on monday showed up today @ store 1.60 with tax

not much nose to it, think ivory soap, proletariat nose at best. I didn't get the offensive nose many report
i didn't shave with, no blade time yet but did have a test lather and face wash
it is hard and dry soap, oily to the touch, i ended up blooming it for a few minutes, and need to load brush more than i thought, and also needed more water than i thought. im going to use the bloom water next time. i was able to get nice slick and dense lather that did not dry on face, i'll try for volume foam next time. i bowl lathered, it is a small puck , it danced around inside of my bowl, probably better in a "mug" hence the registered trade mark. maybe better to hand hold to load brush then go to bowl and lather up. it left my face feeling soft and conditioned
i'm sure its a far cry vintage willam's, and even further cry from its 1840 beginning, now i'm curious to try and find some vintage pucks that some rave about
it's no fancy artisan french soap, for $1.60 its a keeper

Don't let fuzzy @wchnu read this.
Your liable to catch a brick for even mentioning blooming Williams.

Ought to be a program to rehabilitate Williams Bloomers. @Leclec13 - suggested methods are to attack the puck with a stiff bristled boar brush, or rub the puck on your stubble, then face lather with a brush of your choice.
Fuzzy @wchnu will give you a hard time. Just remember it's your puck to molest as you please. I hear it's acceptable to grate it and add AS for improved scent.

Are y'all trying to get a brick tossed at you?

Careful @BigD . Fuzzy keeps a stack of bricks at the ready.

Are you familiar with Science Fiction writer Larry Niven's Laws?
I draw you attention to #1;a&b, #12, and I'd adjust #15 to say,

"The only universal message in (Wet Shaving): There exist (folks) that (shave) as well as you do, but differently."

(Read like epic narrator of old)
Lol. I bathe in the bloom water of the tallow puck before whipping such puck into a creamy, thick, and sumptuous lather of cushion and slickness. Though Fuzzy may swear by other means, I see his goatee is still intact. Poopy I am not throwing, but gobs of rich creamy lather of goodness.

Because we'll be singing, "bloom bloom bloom"

I pick up the Williams on a dampened brush and then whip it up in a bowl. Works great for me. It does take a little longer but it ain't a bad soap. It is interesting that some people have problems with Williams but it works for me.
